While searching for a late-night restaurant near Auckland City Hospital, we stumbled upon RE Burger. Arriving at the destination at 1 am, we found it to be uncrowded. The owner greeted us warmly and took the time to explain the specifications of each chicken burger, considering our priorities. He was polite, down-to-earth, and patiently assisted us in making our choices, addressing all our burger-related queries.

We opted for the Original George burger and the Easy Earl burger. Each burger, considered as a meal, amounted to a total of around $42. We requested to swap the bacon with pineapple, and the owner happily accommodated our request. The impression the owner left on us was outstanding; the level of satisfaction was at 100% even before placing our order.

Both burgers tasted delicious, but the Original George burger emerged as the clear winner. While the Easy Earl burger was not bad, I personally found the sauce to be a bit salty. Nevertheless, it was still a decent burger. Both burgers had generous portions of fried chicken, making it a bit difficult to hold with just one hand; using two hands was necessary. One burger proved to be more than sufficient to satisfy our hunger.

The chips were top-notch, perfectly crispy, and enhanced with a delightful masala seasoning. The ambiance of the restaurant, adorned with captivating artworks on the walls, added to our overall enjoyment of the experience.

Reburger Grey Lynn is undoubtedly the best place in THE WHOLE OF NZ to get a burger. The food never misses, the price? Unbeatable. The staff? So helpful & friendly - the food is so good you can taste the love they put in.

Deals most days, so you can justify visiting any day of the week - mean deals on uber eats too for that post town feed as these fellas are open well into the night!! They even open on Christmas to help you celebrate the season.

Strongest contender I’ve come across for best burgers in Auckland. They do standard burgers really really well, I have not been more adventurous with the menu just because the basics have been soooo good.

The chicken burger is easily the best I’ve ever had.

The famous castle is also an almost perfect beef burger, but it always comes out warm (prefer the meat to be hotter temperature wise).

Onion rings are the best in Auckland, especially with the aioli.

I’ve eaten both these burgers 10+ times and never disappointed. Have also ordered off uber eats and the chicken burger arrived still quite hot.

Nice area to sit down and eat. Prices are very reasonable for the size. Servers are very friendly. Hope they stay in Grey...
