The White Lady food truck is a true gem, nestled right in the heart of the city’s nightlife at Fort and Commerce streets. It perfectly captures that classic American diner vibe, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to grab a delicious bite after a night out. The inviting decor, comfy outdoor dining, and refreshing breeze set the stage for an experience that is as enjoyable as it is satisfying.

On my last visit, I couldn’t resist trying their famous Beef Bacon Cheeseburger for just $19. When it arrived, I was immediately impressed by its size and presentation; it was a hearty meal that easily dwarfs anything you'd find at mainstream fast-food joints like Carl’s Jr., Burger King, or Maccas

The burger is an absolute celebration of flavors. The fresh beef patties are grilled to juicy perfection, bursting with savory juices that make each bite a satisfying experience. The semi-crispy bacon strips and melted colby cheese add rich layers of flavor that dance on the taste buds. The freshness of the toppings is really noticeable too, with crispy lettuce and juicy tomato slices offering a satisfying crunch that contrasts beautifully with the tender beef and crispy bacon. All of this deliciousness is held together by two soft, roasted sweet buns that are expertly made to soak up all the flavors without falling apart—a key factor for a great burger experience.

To take this burger to the next level, I drizzled on some aioli garlic sauce, which added a lively zing that brought everything together perfectly. The result was a flavor explosion that left a lasting impression on my palate.

If you’re out enjoying the nightlife in the CBD, stopping by The White Lady for one of their burgers is a must. It’s the perfect addition to a night filled with fun, providing comforting flavors that perfectly match the lively atmosphere.

With its laid-back diner feel and a standout burger that’s truly a feast for the senses, The White Lady food truck is a culinary treasure you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re a local craving a good meal or a visitor checking out the city, don’t pass up the chance to indulge in what is undoubtedly one of the best burgers around. Your taste buds will...

Well I have been a customer for more than 10 years had many great burgers from this place. But the last couple of times I have been there, there has been a Philippino looking guy taking the orders and he really hates his job. He is rude to the max. I asked nicely if I could get some extra ice cream in my milkshake and offered to pay for it he told me we only do milkshakes do you want it or not. The previous Indian girl had done this request for me many times and just charged me extra not difficult I would of thought. I then went back a few minutes later and said oh I forget to mention this is for takeaway he replied rudely all orders are takeaway. I said to him is it difficult for you to be just a little bit polite he just glared at me with a look that could kill and I walked back to stand with my partner, he continued cursing me under his breath while looking at me, he treated all customers he served in the time we were there the exact same way, there was a nice person ordered a burger for a homeless person he slammed the burger on the bench and gestured to the guy like a dog to come fetch his burger. This is a really bad look and makes people feel totally unwelcome, will be a long time before we venture back and after that and the 45 min drive home we never even got the right order, we ordered two burgers and had 4 when we got home. Mate if you hate doing what you are doing just leave dont ruin other...

Terrible service, should’ve read the before ordering food. As what I have experienced today has been repeatedly mentioned by other people too. I am a regular customer of this place, enjoy the good quality of burger and great service from other employees. Even if the prices are hiking, I still think it’s worth it.

Today is the last day I’ll ever eat here. That White lady, yes she is a white lady, was rude as. I was asking her if the chips were ready while she was on her phone , she ignored me the first time , I asked again, she rolled her eyes and gave this bi&ch look and impatiently said it’s cooking! Then I asked her if I could get some ketchup, she ignored me again, I asked again, she then said just wait mate, impatiently. She then took the ketchup and plunked it down on the bench, not to mention I got a half cup full of chips.

Frankly I don’t think she’s having a bad day, because she was acting normally towards her phone. I think she’s doing that on purpose as this not only happened on me but happened to many others from reading the comments.

I want to speak to the manager about what happened today, so if you are the owner or manager, leave your email here and I will contact you. Or if you think it’s cool then it’s all good mate.

Your rating used to be 4.7 4.8, what happened? I guess this happened, more than once, then...

I stumbled upon White Lady Burgers completely by accident - walked out of a nearby restaurant and there it was on Fort Street, though I'm certain it wasn't there when I arrived an hour earlier! Turns out they set up at 6pm on weekdays. Initially grabbed just a chocolate milkshake for dessert, and it was absolutely delicious. That convinced me to return a few nights later for the full experience - burger, shake, and chips to take back to my hotel. Everything exceeded expectations. The food was perfectly cooked, hot, and genuinely delicious. What really impressed me was their willingness to accommodate modifications to my burger order. I can be quite particular about how I like my burgers prepared, and they got everything exactly right without any fuss. The combination of quality food, reasonable prices, and accommodating service makes this a standout. It's clear why White Lady has become such an Auckland institution!

We had the pleasure of visiting White Lady Burgers on Commerce Street yesterday, and what an experience it was! We ordered the White Lady Burger, a Chicken Burger, and two Barbecue Bacon Burgers with fries and shakes — and wow, what an absolute pleasure to bite into these burgers! The flavors were nothing short of sensational. The beef patty, which I believe is still made from the original 1948 recipe, was fantastic — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff were incredible, the service was impeccable, and to top it off, the fries and shakes were just as good. Worth every cent. Definitely a must-visit when in Auckland!

Think of this as an old school food van, established long before food vans became fashionable! It's a perfect stop-off for a pre- or post-drink stomach filler. You won't be waiting too long to receive your food, but don't expect an instant burger as everything is freshly cooked to order. And fresh it is - buns are soft, lettuce is crisp, and the meat is tasty (it could have had more seasoning, but now I'm just being picky). I especially loved the way the cheese is melted onto the bun, which besides being tasty, helps prevent slippage when you take some delicious bites. Looking forward to trying more things from the menu.
