A group of 5 of us went to Seoul Night to celebrate my sister in laws birthday.
This was a 1st experience for most of us so we were very excited.
It's down a little side street & your welcomed by a red door that looks like a soda vending machine that I thought was pretty cool. We were then greeted by one of the staff who was very lovely. Some of our group had turned up before us and had already ordered drinks so we sat down to. The customer service was actually really great. They were attentive and polite and informative when we asked questions about the food and drinks. The food come out reasonably fast. They checked on us a couple times to check if we wanted more drinks & if our food was ok & I appreciate things like that.
The reason for the 3 star review is because some of the food we ordered regardless of the 1 chili meter on the menu it was very spicy. Im not the best with spice but usually with mild spice I can handle it but this I could not.
We had:
Original Fried Chicken: Very tasty! Nice and crispy & hot. Korean Fried Chicken is honestly my favourite type of fried chicken & this satisfied my cravings for it. Also come with a side of chips & they were cooked to perfection. Crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside. (Not spicy at all)
Soy Glazed Fried Chicken: This was the spicy dish that I couldn't handle. Although the chicken was moist & the honey soy glaze was amazing I could not bring myself past the burn of the spice so I wouldn't order it again.
Kumara Pizza: Amazing. Simply Amazing. I loved it. It's not really a pizza I'd say more like a kumara bake but it was very delish. The cheese cut the sweetness of the kumara and it was a perfect match for my taste buds. (Not spicy at all)
Rosè Chicken Pasta: Was very good also. I wish they'd tell me how the chicken stays crunchy when mixed in with the sauce. The pasta is cooked to perfection. Not to soft and not to hard. (Not spicy at all)
Korean Grilled Pork: Was a tad spicy & it didn't even have a Chilli next to it to say it would be spicy but I did like it. Tasty, juicy pork & the rice went perfectly with it. This spice I could handle & would gladly enjoy again.
The drinks. OMG the drinks were to die for. I had a Watermelon Soju Slushie and the Mango Soju Slushie and they both exceeded my expectation for real!! I'd legit go back just to have those soju slushies 😉 the food was a bonus to me.
The atmosphere was nice & it was pretty funky. The decor was modern. It was mixed with a bit of a street with neon lights & graffiti on the walls there was Korean words that were also translated to English that I thought was cool & neon lights all around.
All in all it was a great experience & I think everyone should try it atleast once.
P.s if you don't like spice I recommend not getting any of the items that have a Chilli next to them & double check with the servers on what spice...

I hosted my 21st birthday dinner here the other night and unfortunately the experience was awful. Firstly, I had organised for the booking a month ago and had everything arranged with whoever is their event coordinator. Once I had confirmed my numbers (23 people) they had told me that there would be a minimum spend of $1000 because our group would be occupying 2 big tables, this is understandable, the place is very small. Additionally, I had asked to extend the time to 3 hours and was denied since people had booked after us and was only given 2 hours.
However, the day of the dinner after an hour and a half I was being told that my group had to leave. I then asked for my cake to be brought out so that my group could quickly eat it and go. Unfortunately this was not the case, the staff were very lovely and brought out my cake with a candle but they said we couldn't cut the cake and eat it there. So in a rush, my group packed up (15 minutes earlier than was mentioned btw, I understand the table needs to be cleared but please give me the full 2 hours) and we went to go pay. Only when we got to the counter were we informed that a party of our size could not split the bill, so I had to pay for my whole party and am now in the process of chasing them up. They have also double-charged me for some drinks since a member of my party paid his portion beforehand, and the waitress failed to factor it in. I wish the event coordinator had informed me of this beforehand.
Overall the whole experience made me extremely stressed and it definitely ruined the mood for my birthday. I would like to thank the staff for not making me pay the excess of the minimum spend. And again, the staff were very kind. But if Seoul Night's team ever see this, please understand that bigger groups need more time and AT LEAST let them eat their cake/cut their cake. It was very troublesome trying to find somewhere to cut it.
(Drinks and food were average, I had been here about a year ago and the portion sizes were much bigger. I'm assuming inflation has caused this. FYI girls don't wear heels on their floors because you will break an ankle with how...
Read moreAbsolutely LOVE THIS PLACE! And has become our go to Korean restaurant. We have been here for dinner a handful of times now and they keep their standards of service and quality of food pretty high. By this I mean they ensure that food tastes exactly the same everytime we have dined here (no unsavory surprises). As we have come here enough times to have our favourite dishes that we order everytime which are the rice cakes, the spicy porl with rice and the fried chicken (even ordered another round of the fried chicken to take home). We tried the beef tacos in the most recent time we came which was 2 weeks ago and have now added that to our staple favourites! The cocktails are refreshing and the table service is great. Not a long wait from ordering and for dishes to come out. Staff are proactive and friendly from the moment you walk in and get seated. They do not miss a beat when it also comes to clearing the table and they always check in and ask how the meals were. All in all...simply cannot fault this place. Highly recommend to all! Cannot wait to come back again to try more...
