It’s so great having family or friends who are passionate foodies. So handy when it comes to having them recommending cool eateries in town, and today we are happily led to Leeds Street Bakery for a quick, light lunch and another shot of caffeine. We share a couple of rolls made from baguettes which are lovingly crafted by their in-house bakers. Look out for the fresh artisan loaves of bread for sale on your left at the entrance. The staff are very friendly, and very helpful, happily providing a small and sharp serrated knife to cut our crunchy and soft baguettes for sharing. The team were happy to customise a lamb leg sammie for me which was absolutely divine. Picture yourself at the dinner table on a Sunday night eating roast lamb with roast potatoes, veg, mint sauce etc - well think that + a kick of spice all sandwiched between two pieces of super seedy multigrain bread. We also grabbed the halloumi + chilli mayo sando which was full of sauce, maybe too much haha. I can’t fault the bread at Shelly Bay whatsoever, especially that seeded multigrain - it was to die for!

Read more30Sep16 There's a real bakery here with a cafe attached. You can walk into the bakery, through the front door, and buy freshly baked bread at the counter. Many different types of breads and baked products. The bakers and staff are friendly. They obviously love what they do judging by their smiles and waves as we waved at them on the three times we walked past. A church mate and I went into the attached cafe and ordered takeaway coffees. The cafe seats about 16 people if they squeeze. But there are tables outside too. Desserts and other treats on display in cabinets. Very tempting.
