Country Sourdough
Our most popular sourdough. Hand shaped, free standing loaf, open crumb with a nutty/ tangy flavour. Eat fresh, toast or freeze. (Wheat, gluten, vegan)
Sesame Sourdough
Our popular country loaf wrapped in black & white sesame seeds gives this loaf a super nutty, savoury flavour. (Wheat, gluten, sesame seeds, vegan)
Sprouted Multigrain
This loaf is packed with flavour and texture. The partially germinated wheat gets mixed into the grainy dough and provides a sweet malty contrast to the sourdough flavour. Amazing toasted! (Wheat, gluten, traces of nuts, vegan)
Sandwich
This large family loaf is our lightest sourdough with a soft crust that stays fresh for ages. Eat fresh, toast or perfect for freezing. (Wheat, gluten, vegan)
Sandwich Tin Loaf
This large family tin loaf is our lightest sourdough with a soft crust that stays fresh for ages. Make sandwiches or toast - it won't last long! (Wheat, gluten, vegan)

It’s so great having family or friends who are passionate foodies. So handy when it comes to having them recommending cool eateries in town, and today we are happily led to Leeds Street Bakery for a quick, light lunch and another shot of caffeine. We share a couple of rolls made from baguettes which are lovingly crafted by their in-house bakers. Look out for the fresh artisan loaves of bread for sale on your left at the entrance. The staff are very friendly, and very helpful, happily providing a small and sharp serrated knife to cut our crunchy and soft baguettes for sharing. The sweet treats on offer here are legendary in Wellington and we succumb to a biscuit and glazed scroll, both of which are sublime. For great service, proudly crafted baking goods and very well made coffees etc, this a top...

Such a lovely little cafe tucked into the mysterious Leeds Street alleyway. They have an extensive cabinet selection full of baked goods, sweet treats and prepared sandwiches, as well as coffee and specialty drinks.

The team were happy to customise a lamb leg sammie for me which was absolutely divine. Picture yourself at the dinner table on a Sunday night eating roast lamb with roast potatoes, veg, mint sauce etc - well think that + a kick of spice all sandwiched between two pieces of super seedy multigrain bread. We also grabbed the halloumi + chilli mayo sando which was full of sauce, maybe too much haha. I can’t fault the bread at Shelly Bay whatsoever, especially that seeded multigrain - it was to die for!

I will definitely be back for another lamb...

30Sep16 There's a real bakery here with a cafe attached. You can walk into the bakery, through the front door, and buy freshly baked bread at the counter. Many different types of breads and baked products. The bakers and staff are friendly. They obviously love what they do judging by their smiles and waves as we waved at them on the three times we walked past. A church mate and I went into the attached cafe and ordered takeaway coffees. The cafe seats about 16 people if they squeeze. But there are tables outside too. Desserts and other treats on display in cabinets. Very tempting. Yumm. we were on a high by the time we walked the rest of the way to the Michael...

Sometimes the hype surrounding something can be built up to such an extent that the reality can’t match it. However, I was happy to find the salted caramel cookies way exceeded my expectations. So much so that I went back the next day to buy a couple more to take home with me. A good combination of flavour and texture making it one of the best cookies I have tried. Many other baked goods on offer if a salted caramel cookie isn’t your thing. Definitely a place I will re-visit the next time I am in Wellington.
