Update 1.2025 Watch for the chicken nugget or boneless chicken to be completely cooked.

There's no reason to find any red inside a chicken nugget/boneless chicken especially at this small size and in this day. Just let it cook.

Updated 2.2024 Don't order delivery. Just eat at the restaurant.

  1. Less bacon. Only 1 strip versus prior visits more strips

  2. Asked for egg to be in a separate container. Thought I was paying for the takeaway to do this. I even offered the eggs can be wrapped in foil but must be separated. Welp eggs+ meat all together

  3. That's a strong biscuit. I applaud them for offering biscuits as I was blown away no one made em except a single Glovo entity but hey.

  4. Delivery was 2,500 but fast. Pictures attached.

  5. Cajun fries are simply frozen fries with a seasoning. I was expecting battered Cajun fries a la America and given they were in Chicago being exposed to the food as Rally's is in Chicago. Checkers.

  6. Upgraded to 4 stars from 3 because the menu update is a nice attempt. Delivery is fast. Can't recommend the fries, nor biscuit neither delivery unless it's Mac and cheese+ chicken or salads.

⚜️ Watch out for cold pork products and ask for crispy bacon 3x to get it cooked beyond the pink. They serve it too raw for me.

Arrived Sunday after church and had to wait. The manager handled us exceptionally well and managed expectations on the wait. Took longer to order than to get the table. I was eager for pancakes & bacon which is how and why I ended here on a Sunday in lieu of AYCE brunch. πŸ‘‰πŸΏ Chicken or Pork sausage πŸ‘‰πŸΏ Pork bacon. πŸ‘‰πŸΏ Both bacon and sausage arrived cold. And, on the same plate with the egg although I asked for the egg to be on it's on plate and was assured it would be. πŸ‘‰πŸΏ Pancakes are fluffy. Quite tall. I prefer thin and crispy but was happy to have Americana. πŸ‘‰πŸΏKing Prawn salad was the highlight although they didn't bring the dressing as requested. πŸ‘‰πŸΏ Drinks are still pricey but at least they have fresh pressed juice. ⚜️ All of the staff was polite and working hard as the place was busy so I wasn't bothered. ⚜️ Talked to Marco about the cold bacon and sausage. Cold pork is no bueno for anyone's health. ⚜️ There's extra seating on the backside of the place but the AC wasn't on someone asked and they turned it on. Front building stays cold. That's where the restroom is located.

Definitely recommend the prawn anything. They cook the chicken and shrimp to order They have longer hours like Waffle House and more than most in town. Not 24houra though. See pictures for pricing.

Overhyped and overpriced.

I had used Google maps to find me a place to eat that was close by me as my son and I was famished. Cafeteria Nigeria popped up so I ventured in.

Parking was my first hurdle. We couldn't get a place in as the spot was extremely busy. So much so, these guys were turning away customers because of capacity issues.

Nevertheless, I got a spot and placed my orders for my son and I. 30 minutes passes by, not a word from waiter. Then another 15 minutes passes and beginning to lose it.

The only entertainment are the flies on my table dancing to distant clunking of forks and knives of nearby guests, so I motioned my waiter to get our drinks out before the food so that we at least have something to quench the stomach growling, the guy says 5 minutes but you can guess how my requests panned out.

I repeatedly asked 3 more times for the drinks smoothie but got told the average waiting time was 45 minutes...

At this point, I got up to leave and then they start begging and 5 minutes after, my food arrives.

Fries was soggy burger was OK. Smoothie was on point. In fact, it was soo good I ordered another round of the raspberry smoothie.

I didn't really enjoy the atmosphere. The flies won't give me peace. They were as hungry, if not hungrier than I, so the bits I didn't see get touched, I ate, the rest, I left for the buggers to feast.

At the end, I spent time getting them to verify a transfer of funds to their account for the meal eaten and was further delayed by another 10 minutes because the waiter forgot to hand over the chocolate smoothie I ordered as take away for my daughter.

Packaging was also poor on smoothie. Most establishment will pack ice with such drinks as they tend to melt or lose texture and shape in the hot climate we live in.

Hands down the worst experience had while in Nigeria.... to the owners of the place, i believe twins, have an independent party/mystery guest reevaluate your spot.

To the waiter, do better, when I complain, try and deescalate rather than scowl and deflect on your inadequacies FYI I was the guy who came from an event with my son wearing a black suit, white shirt...

I recently stopped by Cafeteria in Lagos with my friend and had an absolute feast! I ordered the Not so Traditional English breakfast, and I must say, it was a game-changer. The twist on the classic breakfast dish was a breath of fresh air - the combination of flavors and textures was absolutely delightful. The portion was generous, to say the least, and I found myself struggling to finish it (in the best way possible)!

But the real star of the show was the Sweet and Tangy Chicken wings. I mean, wow! The perfect balance of sweet and tangy, with a crispy exterior giving way to juicy, tender meat. I could eat a whole bucket of those wings and not get tired of them. And the best part? They came with bone, so I could really get stuck in and enjoy every last bite.

And to wash it all down? The Caramel Vanilla Bubble tea with Tapioca was the perfect choice. Sweet, creamy, and refreshing, with just the right amount of chew from the tapioca pearls. It was the perfect complement to the savory goodness of the meal.

The staff at Cafeteria were also super friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal.

If I have one suggestion, it would be that the space could be a bit larger. It was a bit crowded during my visit, which made it feel a bit cozy, but also a bit overwhelming at times. However, this is a minor quibble in what was otherwise an excellent dining experience.

Overall, I would highly recommend Cafeteria in Lagos to anyone looking for a delicious, satisfying meal. The combination of creative dishes, generous portions, and refreshing drinks makes it a must-visit destination in the city. Just be prepared for a cozy atmosphere! Four and a half stars, and I would definitely...

Summary I enjoyed it so much and can't wait to visit again. I visited the place at an off peak period, which was the ideal time in my opinion. Trust me the place is packed full during peak periods and I didn't want to wait behind a line salivating and day dreaming. I made my orders and they came right on time. Service delivery was superb. I looved the bread. After I had it with my raspberry Berry blast juice, there was no space left but never nothing must waste. My belle was full but my mouth wanted more. Another thing I enjoyed was the healthy, delicious and pleasantly looking, tasty salad. The cream was to die for. The room was small but nicely arranged. They had this really nice way of managing the space. Design work is still ongoing to beautify the place but for now, it has plain concrete walls. The only downside was the small parking space they had. For their amount of customers, they would definitely need much more. So far certain people avoid it by parking elsewhere and walking down or request for delivery. Personally, I would love to be in the restaurant as I can change my mind about my order when reviewing the menu again. It was definitely worth the price which honestly wasn't too affordable but hey, you get what you pay for!
