Imagine ordering a starter to avoid wait time for the main & still end up waiting? Stressss! Anyway, when it finally came, I liked it. I like to think it’s the best tempura prawns I’ve had from a non Japanese restaurant.

The overall texture was really pleasing to me, after a cut through into the prawns, there was no separation of the prawn from the batter, whatever technique used? It’s working! It was slightly crunchy on the out & tender on the inside. The harmony of flavors from the batter, prawn & dipping sauce was so satisfying. Teriyaki Chicken Wings - 3,800

I’m honestly not sure why I ordered this because I really don’t care for teriyaki & it’s cohorts. It’s such a sweet sauce that gets tiring as you continue.

The wings were basically cooked in teriyaki sauce or marinade. The texture of the wings were slightly tough, hence the manual labour to separate the flesh from the bones. All that stress, on a date in a sauce you don’t care for? Ko neccestry! BBQ Pork Ribs & Special rice - 8,875

This restaurant tested every inch of my patience with this order, I really could have gone to the mainland & back & it wouldn’t have been ready. The pork doneness was somewhere around medium well & well because it felt kinda tough to detach from its bone. I expected a fall off the bone situation. Taste wise, it was juicy accompanied with the bbq marinade. I’d say I made a poor selection of adjoining the bbq pork ribs with this special rice solely because put together, both required a lot of jaw movement. Location : Victoria Island

First time visit happened on a Wednesday and there was a live band playing and in my opinion, they were the best thing of the experience at The Vibe. The band kept belting out covers of oldies and it was an experience that just took you down memory lane and makes you wonder, what happened to great music.

Layout of The Vibe is nice as they have both indoor and outdoor areas and table service is available in both areas. The ambience of indoors is one that just makes you really comfortable to enjoy your stay either for drinks and/or foods. The colour scheme lends to a calming effect whilst dining.

The menu is great, as they had a choice selection of dishes to choose from. However, at the time of the visit, my first order was sweet potatoes and chicken wings (due to dietary reasons) and the taste was good enough to encourage me to visit again and try other items on the menu. Pricing is fairly standard. I got the feeling that The Vibe would be more popular for its drinks.

Overall, service seemed good, as the wait time to be attended to was decent and the waitresses were courteous. And you can payment via POS or do a transfer.

The Vibe would come recommended.
