This is a great place to get some real Indian ice-cream. They have flavors that are common in India. Their menu is a bit confusing when it comes to the falooda drink. I'd expect falooda to be topped with ice-cream of your choice but it looked like that is not an option which is disappointing. If you are taking two scoops in one cup it'll be layered one on top of another. If you want it properly placed side by side you can go for their waffle plates instead. Also this place is takeout only currently. This place requires you to wear a mask to enter so please do so. It is really annoying when every one is in a mask and there're a couple of customers that are not obliging to their request. Ambience: Good Process: Get in queue to make your order. Collect your ice cream and pay at the end of the line at the cashiers counter. They do not accept tips via card. Quantity: Generous Parking: Ample Times visited: 1

Ideally, I'd give this place 3.5/5 stars. Nirvanaah in Sunnyvale serves up a wide variety of Indian-inspired ice cream flavors, perfect for those seeking an adventurous taste bud experience. Located conveniently in a strip mall with ample parking, it might be a good spot to grab a scoop, but be prepared for a slightly tired ambiance. The interior is definitely in need of an upgrade. The worn-out seats and overall rundown feel took away from the experience a bit. There is also not a lot of indoor or outdoor seating, so keep that in mind. The saving grace was the incredibly friendly staff. They were super patient with my friends who weren't familiar with Indian flavors, allowing them to try a multitude of options before making their decisions. Nirvanaah boasts a unique selection of flavors, including meetha pan (a post-wedding breath freshener in Indian weddings), chickoo (a tropical fruit), and gajar halwa (a carrot-based dessert). You can choose between one, two, or three scoops, allowing you to create your own flavor combinations. The verdict on the flavors themself is a mixed bag. Some, like meetha pan, guava, and Alfonso mango, were bold and packed a punch. However, others like chickoo and sweet apple were a bit muted and didn't quite deliver on their promise. The butterscotch was particularly disappointing, with an off-putting texture. They also offer falooda, a playful mix of milkshake, bubble tea, and sundae elements. While it might be worth a try for the novelty factor, it ultimately comes down to personal preference. Overall, Nirvanaah is a decent option for those seeking unique Indian ice cream flavors. The friendly staff and the sheer variety of options deserve a nod, but the rundown interior and uneven flavor execution hold it back from being truly impressive.

Update: Second visit: They do not allow tasting. Felt that it's a business standard and they should do it. They were not very good in explaining why, or sharing details of the taste. Ended up taking Mango kulfi, and hoped it was nice. It luckily, was good. First Visit: We reached at 10:30 and asked for flavors. Good things - the flavors are great - the ambience is nice. - like the seatings Complaints - The staff was little of help in suggesting for flavors. - We were having last bit of ice cream as we came 15 mins before closing. They asked us to leave, which felt rude. Waiting 5 mins wouldn't have hurt them. It's about a customer experience

“No Tasting” and “Take out only” is what stands out first when you enter. No seating at all. The guava ice cream was very good and so was the Ferreto Rocher and mango. But the -2 starts is for the not edible sugar free tutti fruiti ice cream which we threw away after tasting. That’s my favorite flavor but here it was so strong just could not eat. If they had let us taste I would have opted for something else. It’s also end of covid hopefully they will get back chairs and tables so families can go together relax and enjoy their ice creams in the store. They had the Meeta paan flavor that looked tempting, may be for next time.

Visited Nirvanaag Ice Cream over the weekend, and it wasn't crowded, which was nice. The atmosphere was pleasant, and they offer a wide variety of unique flavors, which is great for those looking to try something different. I decided to go for the Gulab Jamun ice cream, but it was just average—not as impressive as I was hoping for. The shop itself has a clean and welcoming vibe. If you're in the area and looking to try some fusion flavors, it might be worth a stop, though I’d probably explore other options next time. Overall, it’s a decent spot, but I wasn’t blown away by the taste.
