Stopped in for a beer (or few). Keith was working the bar and was very friendly and handled the tourists well. What is the difference between a real and fake Irish Coffee? He knows how to do a proper pour and has a great attitude. Stop in and say hi and have a pint. Edit: Back for more. This time we got the fish and chips (with beer). REALLY good.

Best Irish bar in Bergen City centre. I didn't have food so can't comment on that. Service was excellent (very pleasant and helpful Dublin barman). Good selection of beers and Guinness is top quality. Was there twice - once to watch football and the second to sit outside and soak up some rays. Would go again

Stopped off to enjoy a few pints on labour day in the sunshine, not sure how long we was there and how many we drank but had a fantastic time, staff were lovely and friendly. Cannot comment on the food as we didn't eat there, beer was great and was a decent price, great place would recommend to anyone 👍

Visited Bergen 3 weeks ago, for a holiday with my 2 daughter's. Had contacted Brian Boru pub earlier on FB about showing the Heineken Champions Cup Final. Very swift reply. Was in the pub for the game. Great staff, great atmosphere, great space, great location. A direct flight from Dublin to Bergen is now a gift. We need to support this venture from Ireland as Norway in general is a fantastic country. Education, health, transportation, housing, low crime rates. All that we want here. Consider Bergen rather than Barcelona, Lisbon, Lanzorote etc. for a fantastic break. Oh and is it expensive? Depends on what you value. To me, who has been to a lot of countries, you can see where your taxes are going. Public parks, kindergartens, hospitals, public transport, clean cities etc. #visit Bergen #brian boru Bergen...

Incredibly mediocre, I genuinely don't understand what the reviews are about. The only things it has in common with a real Irish/British pub is the amount of intoxicated football fans screaming at the TV and the themed items on the walls (I lived in Scotland for 6 years, I've done my rounds of pubs, I know what I'm talking about). For the rest, the selection of beers is modest and mostly mainstream; there's no kitchen, so there is no food except for a small selection of so-called "gourmet pies", which are worse than supermarket pies and only taste of crust and heat; the wait to be served the above-mentioned pies was almost an hour for no apparent reason, since they are pre-made and only need to be warmed up in the oven. All in all, a bad and expensive experience, can't...

Brian Boru is a pub with amazing service. It is honestly the best pub I have been to in Norway. This is a irish owned authentic Pub. The bartenders are awesome, there are different types of entertainment like comedy, quiz and live music, they also show sport and some days they have karaoke. The atmosphere is very good and it is very easy to meet new people from all over the world. Brian Boru is also a gathering place for rugby teams and various football supporters. There are opportunities to sit outside and enjoy a cold beer in the sun if it shows, or sit warm and dry inside. Do you want an insight into Irish pub culture, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and Irish music and vibes? Then Brian Boru is absolutely...
