China Palace Restaurant — Restaurant in Bergen

Extremely unorganized seating. Two waitresses were both trying to organize but not communicating. This resulted in a massive chaos during the dinner rush. A couple got seated at a table reserved for 6 people, an the group of six then had to be placed at a table for 10. No organization on who were next in line. After getting seated, the waiting staff used a long time to actually take our orders. They also refused to let us order a kids dish. Ok, the menu says Tha kids servings are only for 12 years and under, but in our grou we were 2 people with Gastric surgeries and reduced capacity, and one that 15year old girl that is tiny, and hardly eats anything. Still they refused to let us order smaller portions. The rice served with the food tasted like it had been cooked hours in advance, and had just been sitting there. 0Some of the different meats were both tough and/or dry. Most of the flavors were all right though.

The prices are a bit high considering the quality of food, and the level of service, and I would not recommend this place. There are both better and cheaper options nearby. I would recommend to stear clear...

It is such a horrible experienced with my dinner tonight , i am still here sitting writing this review . I cannot finish my food due to this Vietnamese waitress came to my table asking me if im done i have second glass of beer served in and still my scampi almost not eaten and this particular waitress Vietnamese came and asked if im done. "If im done???? This is very rude! I asked for manager but there were no manager and this waitress running tables like Big Boss. Knowing that the prices are not compensated with the quality of the food and to asked me if im done halfway to my dinner is very very very rude. Was it worth recommending? with this particular waitress attitude? NO. And, when i pay my bills this certain Filipina waitress revailed that the manager is a Filipina whom came to asked my table if all is ok,i said its not ok and asking me to add up TIP on top of my bill i said no . China palace is a great place to eat if you are gluten free or vegan. If you are gluten free make sure to ask for the gluten free white sauce, it is made of potato starch and chickenbroth and spices :) Lots of options +seitan foods. And also they have a super good vegetar wok that can be made gluten free 😊 NOMNOMNOM my favorite resteraunt in Bergen! Moderate price range- rice is included with meals. My fiance and all of his friends love this resteraunt as well, we always eat there when we meet up! ☺ Great atmosphere. They have finally put in an elevator, China palace is on the second floor!
