this restaurant had the most appaling customer service, as a tourist coming from abroad i was shocked, i only hope this is not the same for the rest of restaurant in the Bergen, the lady in the front desk told us that we would wait for 15-20mins which actually turned out to be 50 mins despite theyre being many free tables, not only that she also porceeded to allow another group to go before us. Me and the other individual visiting felt some sense of discrimination as the group before us were visibily white and we are women of colour, not throw around assumptions but this was how we felt!! Furthermore, after being seated we waited 15 MORE minutes to be served and later had to put our hands up and call over the waiter ourselves, who then proceeded to tell us to wait and he would call somebody else over rather than himself, very strange.Overall very bad experience, would...

Omg, one of the worst place to waste your money and calories! Nothing was professional with the food or service. We paid 319 kr for a duck main dish, but this dish didn’t have anything but the duck itself and carrots, cucumber and orange as decoration. So the waitress recommended us egg noodles to eat with. But she should have informed that this is a new course and might not fit with this duck, because this was Peking noodle with lots of sauces that didn’t match the duck at all. We were really surprised when the bill came!! 580kr for both dishes that tasted worse than a take away place in Oslo. The maki; dry rise and loosely rolled - not professionally at all! And the “beef” tasted marinated in baking powder and wasn’t recognized-able as beef, in addition the degrees of spicy degree should have been more clearly. Please save your time, money...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Pearl in Bergen – Fantastisk Service & Delicious Food!

As a local guide, I’ve had the chance to try many places around Bergen, but Ying Ying truly stands out as a hidden pearl. Tucked away from the more touristy spots, this gem delivers an experience that’s well worth seeking out.

The service was absolutely fantastic - warm, attentive, and personal from the moment we walked in. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in what they do.

The food? Delicious! Every dish was full of flavor, freshly made, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re craving authentic Asian cuisine or just want a great meal in a cozy setting, Ying Ying delivers every time.

Ying Ying is not your traditional Chinese restaurant. It embodies the untold story of a Norwegian woman of Chinese descent who spent her life discovering her heritage through the successful restaurant her family ran for over 37 years. Ying Ying sets the tone for the future of their restaurant ecosystem, reflecting courage, a tribute to one's roots, personal growth, and a deep appreciation for both heritage and the country where she was raised. If you truly want to immerse yourself in the stories hidden within these walls, one visit won’t be enough. Feel free to ask, explore, and share your own story. Here, you’ll always be warmly welcomed. - Mateo.

I went to celebrate my birthday a few days ago and i tried sharing menu 1 with my friends. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was perfect, the amount of food was spot on for us. The atmosphere was really fantastic and the new dim sum items were really good! The new menu items they put together recently really has something for everyone and I can highly recommend the number 1 on the shared menu list. All the servers helping my table were really great, i cant praise them enough. I wish i could give more than 5 stars.
