Ah, the fine art of reheating! Who needs fresh food when you can pay premium prices for glorified microwave meals? We ordered Laksa, full of anticipation, only to be greeted by a bowl of instant noodles. But wait, the owner graciously informed us that this is how it’s done—how innovative! Clearly, the menu showcasing a proper Laksa is just a creative exercise in false advertising. No mention of the instant noodle twist when we ordered, of course—such a delightful surprise. As for the price, why bother with a 69 NOK instant Laksa packet when you can splurge 179 NOK for the privilege of disappointment? Oh, and the beef rice? Nothing says “culinary excellence” quite like a reheated lunchbox. Honestly, I should’ve just stayed home and impressed myself with a pot of instant noodles. At least then, I’d be served with honesty.

I found a new favorite in Oslo! The place is mostly for take-away or small groceries of Asian food, but they have a few tables available for a quick meal. I ordered the Laksa Singapura and I think it tasted quite authentic, even if it wasn’t spicy like the original one. I fortunately don’t eat too much spicy food, so it was perfect for me. For the price, it was very good and I also tried their onigiri which were all very tasty and some with quite original flavors. They also have a wide variety of Asian drinks. Service was also very nice, the two ladies working that day were very kind and smiley, ready to answer all our questions. If you want something quick, tasty, and affordable this is the place to go.

A nice lunch place just opened. Its part of the Dinner group that has a long history in Oslo with several well-known restaurants. This one selling small lunch dishes like ramen, dumplings for both take-away snd dining at the place. They also had a nice selection of onigiri 🍙 freshly made. I bought with me 2 of those goodies and had a noce meal of wonton. The wonton was fresh and had a lot of fillings which was mainly shrimp and a bit of pork as well. The waiter was very helpful and explained a lot, though most of the items are well known to me 😄 But I appreciate the help. Try this place if you want some good homecooking chinese lunch.
