Restaurant Eik Annen Etage — Restaurant in Oslo

This was a really "fancy" dinner experience. Food and services is top notch. The place has a really nice atmosphere with huge chandeliers and high ceilings. Table layout is a bit weird with narrow winding tables. Just about enough to fit two plates opposite each other. And with all the fancy cutlery it's more than crowded on the table. Food is really good. And though has been put in every aspect of the course. As always there is plenty of time between courses and espect two to three hours for your dinner. Staff is nice but maybe not all that read up on what was served. To ther defences we were a huge group of 40 plus people so they where busy for sure. Everything was pree orderd so guessing what was served become a challenge within tha table. Nevertheless the main cource is still unknown to this day. All our special servings was professionaly handeld without fail. Ower all a excellent dinner experience despite not knowing...

The food was really great. The atmosphere as well. The waitor did the good job. The negative sides - you get charged for the water and bread and none told it in front. Also we booked a place for 15 people, and 3 of them didnt show up because they got ill. We informed the place that we are 12. And they told it was ok as the minimum for that room was 12. At the end we got charged for 15 people. They didnt tell us that at the beginning of our dinner that we will be charged for 15. They also argumented that they made the food for 15 people, but that extra 3 portions of 4 dishes meny was never served to our table so it felt that we paid extra for the air. Basicly we could accept being charged for that 3 people if those extra dishes were served to the table. Here it was felt that the owner tried to rip of clients by inventing extra fees...

Amazing place at second floor in hotel Continental. Tested a 4 dishes meal. All dishes were superb, accomplished by perfect wines. Must not be mistaken by another restaurant Restaurant Eik in Universitetsgata 11, corner at Hotell Savoy. Which just lost Michelin guide recommedation. In comparision, I recommend Restaurant Eik Annen Etage. And its medium priced.. 11k in NOK for 12 persons with 4 dishes and wine packages for 6, Not bad and with lovely waitors.. This was a perfect evening...
