Mixed feelings. I came in around 6 pm, the place was almost empty, I was told that every table was reserved. I was not offered a later time but as I insisted I was then told to come back at 8. When I returned everything was pleasant, the food was good, and the service was good too. That would be it, except I tried again a couple of days later, at 8:20 this time, and was turned away again. I was told that the kitchen was already closed, as it closes at 9 pm (the restaurant closes at 10) and when I pointed out that it was only 8:20 I was told that they already had too many people (the place was half full at most). Perhaps they didn't want to bother with a single diner? I am not sure. It was unpleasant nonetheless. Perhaps reservations are strictly needed or maybe don't go if...

We arrived in Tromsø at 9 PM, very hungry and stressed after our housing reservation was unexpectedly cancelled. To make things worse, none of the restaurants we tried were willing to host us due to the late hour. Then we found this place—and it was an absolute lifesaver!

Not only were we warmly welcomed, but the staff graciously agreed to keep the venue open later just to serve us. We were treated to excellent meals and genuine hospitality that went far beyond expectations. This wasn’t just a dinner—it was a rescue mission, and the owners truly were our heroes that night.

I ordered horn of Africa plate for one person, sambousa with beef, and traditional tea.

The food quantity, taste, aroma, and marination were perfect.

I liked the welcoming juice, too delicious and refreshing.
