After traveling two weeks in Norway and a week in Sweden I can honestly say that this was the best meal we had, without a doubt. The food was absolutely wonderful.
Oysters with champagne, pan fried duck liver, escargot, halibut, steak, even the pomme frites…it really all was wonderful. There wasn’t a thing the six of us tried that we would not have ordered again.
The wine selection is first rate. However, you really must let the proprietor, Hilde select for you. Her pairings were excellent, inventive and just simply tasty. HIlde and her staff made us feel so welcome. We felt so special, not like tourists, not even like locals, but truly as members of the family.
The location on the river and the beautiful restaurant and intimate atmosphere made us feel like we had found something more that we could have hoped for. It really is a special place. I cannot recommend this establishment...
