Well, this was a very disappointing experience. First, the good - the food, with one exception, was quite good. But, wow, the incredibly slow and awkward way in which the six dishes we ordered were delivered to the table ... unforgivable. My wife and I each ordered a bowl of soup and we ordered 4 grilled items. Her soup showed up first and this was the not so tasty dish. On the menu it's listed as chicken mushroom soup. In reality it's basically a small bowl of chicken flavored miso. After waiting several minutes for any other food to arrive she finally went ahead and ate soup. And then we waited still and eventually one of the grilled items arrived, the chicken. We ate that and sat and waited for another item to arrive. Eventually the mackerel arrived. With no sight of the two vegetable dishes we ordered, we ate fish. Many minutes later the zucchini and mushrooms arrived and we ate those. And then we waited a full 15 minutes until my ramen soup arrived ... and the broth was not hot.
The hospitality at the restaurant is great, the food pretty good but we left very unhappy with the meal experience. We really had expected much better from such a nice...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Zigu, and it was truly unforgettable. Nestled by the sea, the restaurant offers breathtaking views that perfectly complement its delightful cuisine. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm hospitality and attentive service.
The menu featured a variety of fresh seafood dishes, each beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the grilled salmon collar—it was perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned just right. We also enjoyed a refreshing tropical cocktail as we watched the sunset over the water—pure magic.
The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and refined, making it ideal for both romantic dinners and casual gatherings. Dining with the sound of waves in the background added a special touch to the entire experience.
If you’re looking for an exceptional seaside restaurant that delivers on taste, atmosphere, and service, Zigu is a must-visit. I can’t...
Read moreProbably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. We asked about vegetarian options before being seated and the staff explained many options. The ‘vegetarian’ stir fry I ordered came with flake (fish) garnish, I sent it back, they forgot my zucchini skewers then ran out of zucchini, they recommended another ‘vegetarian’ dish which I ordered. When it came out it didn’t look right so I pointed out some ingredients and asked what they were… it was fish and fish eggs. I sent it back also. I finally ordered the tofu which came out with a hair across it. After many mistakes and hours of waiting I left hungry. It didn’t end there… twice they provided a bill with items I didn’t receive on it! If you don’t have vegetarian food, that’s totally fine, but don’t lie to me to get my business and then mess me around. It was laughable. In the end I went back to the hotel and ate an apple for dinner. I would avoid this place...
