The Fish House — Restaurant in Bajo Boquete

I am sorry to leave a bad review for a place that has so much potential. My first two meals at the Fish House were great. I also enjoyed the margaritas, they had plenty of tequila in them. However, something has happened. The food does not taste the same. My last fish dish came out cold and the patacones were dried out like rocks. The onion rings were ice cold and mostly burned. Even the margarita seemed to be less enjoyable, but it could be due to the fact that I was not having a pleasant experience to begin with. I will say they have very good service and very nice people. Unfortunately, you need good food to complete the experience . Not sure I will frequent there again but you never know when I may want to try another...

Went there for an early dinner/ late lunch. There was one table occupied and one employee. We found a table and sat down. Then we were informed to go back out to the entry area and take a look at the chalk board menu. We did and the regular menu was taped to the wall and a white board had some items written on it and a confusing note attached. It was not really clear if what was offered. The employee apparently could not have cared less. We left. We live here And if that’s the service, probably won’t return. Don’t bother. It’s too much trouble for them...

I typically don't review restaurants, but I really want people to know what to expect if they go here. If you are truly hungry and don't care about the quality of food you eat, then sure the place is fine. But the place is dark and gross. I don't think the menus have been wiped off since they were printed and the seats are just as bad. We ordered their 'famous fish and chips'...the fish was mushy and barely edible for $12. Yes, their homemade french fries were delicious, but not worth $12. We all left feeling dirty and quesy. Definitely could...
