A new Italian fine dining venue in Casco Viejo featuring novel dishes and personally reinterpreted traditional dishes by Master Chef Stefano Morelli.
As expected from Chef Morelli, flavors are balanced, ingredients are fresh, and plates are presented artfully garnished, with careful attention to color, and some dishes arrive with hand-selected edible floral arrangements.
House-made custom infused olive oils accompany fresh bread, and I recommend an artesanal cocktail before, during, and after dinner!
Cocktails are prepared by a master bartender with exotic florals, and in some cases, unexpected exotic flavors such as citrus balanced with black truffle.
If you are staying in the Casco Viejo District, you can walk to it. If you are coming into the area from the City, take an Uber, eliminate the parking issues, and have an extra cocktail without worrying about the drive home!
Thanks again to Chef Morelli for another great venue......
Read moreThis restaurant was a very big disappointment. The tiny portion of pasta that was supposed to our entree was equivalent to the size of an appetizer. The pasta was undercooked and tasteless. No fresh cheese on top was offered, and no anti pasta before our meal. We only received a tiny portion of food. Bread would have been a staple for a restaurant advertising as authentic Italian. Our 15 year old makes better fettuccini alfredo. We left hungry and bummed out until we found another restaurant to actually feed us a real dinner. The presentation was pretty but unless you only plan on taking a photo of your food and not consuming it then I would look elsewhere. It was very...
Read moreHaving a home in Italy for the last 20 years, my expectations of an ‘authentic‘Italian restaurant in Panama were quite low. I couldn’t have been more wrong or surprised! My husband and I started with the home made focaccia and -so we were told by the owner - burrata imported from Italy. Both were absolutely stunning! The focaccia was crispy and fragrant with salt and rosemary, and the burrata was creamy and sitting in a pool of beautiful basil oil. Delicious! The standard continued with our main courses - a seafood pasta for my husband with beautiful fresh mussels and clams, and sea bass with white wine, capers and red onion for me- also delicious. We shared the lightest, most authentic tiramisu for dessert, and left feeling full and amazed. The service was charming and efficient and we will definitely go back...
