Our worst experience in Panama. This is a chain we’ve been to before elsewhere in the country and usually love it. This location was a total let down. We got there as it opened for the day. So not at all busy, only 1 other couple. We ordered and waited forever. I mean this is sushi - it is incomprehensible that it took so long. All the server could say was “it’s the kitchen”. But couldn’t say sorry or explain otherwise. The other couple continued to get food, other people arrived and got their food and our order of 3 rolls and an appetizer took so long that we almost walked out twice. Eventually it arrived but my daughter’s order was wrong so she left with my husband for better options. Language barriers were a minor issue but the shiny pictures in the menu do not reflect what we got here. At the end, the server gave my son a free dessert and the otherwise silent bartender offered me a free smoothie which i decline as I didn’t want to wait for it, and we did get a genuine apology (hence the second star). But we won’t eat here again when we’re...
Read moreThis was a very unique restaurant, and definitely worth going to get some food and sit in a well air conditioned building. Located in the historic district it is very nicely renovated recently and inside is well decorated. I enjoyed the Lomo, however it did take me a long time to figure out what to get. The menu is extremely overwhelming, with about enough options to please everyone. There is also a great selection of drinks, I just got a coke which was just a can. They charged 2.50 for two cans of coke which I found a little ridiculous. However many of the foods are twists on foods made in the wok style. This makes a terrific blend of flavor that I enjoyed. The place is very modern and is a standard for the area in good food, great establishment with friendly staff. Only reason for not five is that it was very overwhelming while ordering, I would recommend coming here for the just the sushi which someone I was with ordered and found it very pleasing rather than get lost in the pages of options. Also the overpriced drinks...
Read moreThe food was very average Asian food. We had Japanese and Indonesian starters and mains (sushi, noodle and rice dishes). The cocktails weren't great either unfortunately; my martini was like nothing I'd tasted before (it should only have two ingredients in it), garnished with one sad little olive!
We dined early (5.30pm) however we did not expect a staff member to pour bleach on the floor next to us and begin mopping the floor...
During and after the main course no staff member enquired as to how our food was (it was ok, but nothing special), but did ask if we meant to leave a smaller tip/propina than they had obviously expected. A nice enough diner style restaurant but there is much better to be...
