I can only doubt that the 5-star reviews from others are either inauthentic or the surprising result of an alternate experience. No one else was present when we arrived, or left, at around six o'clock in the evening. The dishes were a mixture of overcooked and undercooked. I would recommend hiring a new cook. As my photographs show, we did not finish our dishes, and upon returning to our hotel we immediately took stomach medicine as a, hopefully unnecessary, precaution. The decor seems that some tables were dragged into a recently abandoned building. I would recommend repainting the walls in a vibrant color, adding some artwork to the currently barren decor, and perhaps some live plants to help. The seafood and meats were not of exceptional quality as we have experienced at other restaurants in the area or the wider Cusco. My Cuba Libre was more Coca-cola than Libre, and I left it unfinished. The only saving grace of this restaurant was our server, who was energetic and kind, but he could certainly get better tips somewhere else. I hope the restaurant can improve! Had dinner here after a long day returning from Machu Picchu, tired and hungry. This was a perfect stop. The service was excellent and the food ever better. Our server Frank was attentive without being intrusive. At serving time he shared what was everything in the dish without being snotty but truly sharing the knowledge of how Peruvian food should be made and how it should taste.
