Resort hotel restaurant but service like street vendors I had a bad experience having dinner at this place. The reservation at the reception was served well and I was informed that the only spot that was still available was at 8 pm. I agreed. Finally I came even though it was late because of the rain, I almost canceled it. However, I committed to keeping my reservation because I didn't know who to contact considering I wasn't staying at the Inkatera resort. When I arrived at the reception, I was immediately told to go to the restaurant. When I arrived at the restaurant I had to wait to be spoken to by the officer after he was busy with his computer screen, until his colleagues gave a sign that a guest had arrived. I was asked to wait without any clarity for 5 minutes until finally the officer looked for my name on the list and did not find a reservation under my name. But I saw in the corner of the door there was already a table arranged for one person. Then the officer asked me to sit down while saying that my name was not listed in the reservation. I insisted that I had given my name and I could definitely come at 8 o'clock. In fact, I would be happy if I was refused dinner when the situation was already unpleasant like this. Finally, the officer did not have a problem if my name was not on the list even though I was not a guest at the Inkatera resort. The waiter's English was broken and very unfriendly. Then I only ordered the main course braised chicken and craft beer. In my opinion, the food and presentation were very ordinary and craft beer is also easily available on the streets or supermarkets. This kind of service makes me uncomfortable. If you don't want to accept reservations from outside the hotel, just say so rather than being long-winded and seeming unfriendly in providing service. There is only one friendly officer, the man who took the craft beer order and brought it to my table. The restaurant room is very comfortable, warm and aesthetic, except for the service of the waiter which is very bad, even worse than the service of street food restaurants in Peru. The taste of the food is standard, not extraordinary. My suggestion is to fix and re-educate the Inkaterra resort waiters in serving guests who come even though they are not staying at the resort. However, the tourism industry does not guarantee that it will always be busy, especially since we have all experienced difficult times in the COVID era. So don't treat guests carelessly if you still want...
Read moreAverage, overpriced food, and terrible service. My wife and I made a reservation. When we got there, they could not find the reservation and seated us in the bar area, instead of the restaurant. They explained that the restaurant is reserved only for those who “prepaid” for their reservation, which was clearly a lie because we came another time when they properly noted our reservation, and we were seated in the restaurant area without question or prepayment. Completely unprofessional to cover up their mistake. On top of this, they didn’t even put a white cloth down, didn’t give us a drink menu, didn’t offer complementary bread as with all other patrons, and when they brought the bill (after a 20 minute delay), they just brought a credit card machine without bringing an itemized cheque. You don’t expect this type of service given it’s supposedly a “high end” restaurant and the prices certainly reflect their assumption. The food (we had the soup, trout and chicken) was very bland. They have extremely limited local food and drink options. The only pro is that this place is unlikely to give you food poisoning (though stay away from their “filtered” water - you can read other reviews about sickness after drinking their water), which is very common in...
Read moreCafé Inkaterra is a fantastic spot with excellent food and outstanding service. The atmosphere is unique — trains run on both sides of the restaurant, which makes it a one-of-a-kind dining experience. You even have to cross the tracks to get there, so be sure to look both ways before entering! The combination of delicious dishes, attentive staff, and the charming railway setting makes it a memorable stop in...
