I had an unforgettable stay at the Kamma Guest House in Ollantaytambo. The hotel is on a narrow, walking only, street away from the main road into town which takes fairly heavy tourist traffic to the Ollantaytambo ruins. The streets around the hotel look like they have hardly changed since Inca times. I had a room with a window facing the narrow street with its constant, soothing flow of water in the small canal on the far side. The views from the hotel room were amazing, consisting of the ruins of the Pinkuylluna archeological site and ruins on the steep hills to the east. The guest house has a top floor balcony with a wonderful view across the roofs to Ollantay's main archeological site. Breakfast was great. The best part was the personal attention and help from Liz. If I ever go back to Ollantay, there is nowhere else I would stay. I recommend the guest house...
Read moreI can’t thank the owners at Kamma enough for their hospitality during our stay. This guest house is just a few blocks off the main square and perfectly situated. It’s also just across the street from the entrance to some of the lesser visited ruins in the city so ideal location for that. They have a lovely daily breakfast on their roof that is top notch.||More importantly they were so kind to us. I was pretty ill when I arrived back from Machu Picchu and they went out of their way to check in on me, offer tea, and (because we made two separate reservations for our two night stay with a different room type) when they realized we reserved two different types of rooms they allowed me to stay in my original room until the second was ready given they knew how poorly I was feeling. ||Cannot recommend...
