Food is good and the price is really reasonable. Though I’ve only eaten here four times so far, my experience here has been great.
To start off, the place is neat, clean, and spacious. It’s not noisy and not too quiet. The design is simple and pleasing to the eyes. There is however the toilet. I’m not saying it’s not clean because it is but rather, it is not that easy to notice. It’s good in the way that not a lot of people like to eat near the WC but it’s not so good when there are people who can’t, for some reason, find it. Maybe a sign would be good.
The staff are friendly and so far none of them has been rude or acted sloppily. There was one time when the dish was not available, they quickly informed us so that’s good. Also, when the other group I was with was a bit noisy, they were still patient and accommodating. There was just one time when they got confused and almost cancelled my order. My fault was that I wanted three of them served and one was for take out but I ordered it a bit late. So I wanted only one to be served and the others for take out. They didn’t understand and almost cancelled my order. Then when we got to an agreement, there was a problem when they were handing over the take out because another table also ordered a take out. But it was quickly sorted out.
The food is really good so far. The rice they use is of good quality. Their sushi is good and is very decent. Not just some fished placed on top of rice. Also, a good place for people who likes sea urchin (uni) and octopus (tako) sashimi or sushi.
Their wagyu stick and steak are really good as they are juicy and tender. You won’t tire your mouth with chewing or even make a mess of just trying to slice the meat.
So far the only drinks I’ve tried are their mint tea, sake, and iced tea. The ice tea is average. Their sake is good, it’s easy on the throat and goes directly to your stomache. The mint tea I’ve fallen in love with since they are very generous with the leaves and the fragrance of the tea is very pleasant.
However, so far the only food I haven’t really enjoyed is the yakiudon because it is a bit too oily for me and the gyudon simply because there is only one place where I’ll eat udon.
Overall, the place is...
Read moreJapanese restaurant on the main drag in downtown Baguio. Cash & credit card payments accepted - probably e-wallet as well. Wide-ranging menu from wagyu steak to sashimi. Prices seem about typical for Baguio. Service was a bit lackluster. Located on the second floor so you have a nice view of the street if you happen to get one of the 3-4 tables next to the windows.
Ordered the chirashidon. Decent size selection of sashimi layered over sushi rice. Freshness seemed good. Taste was good. Presentation was average - the fake crab was literally a stick of fake crab meat cut in half. Wasabi had a good kick to it and the soy sauce was robust. Not mind-blowing food but solid and better than some of the other little shops in the area.
Looks like the restaurant has been around a while. Poor or no mobile reception inside. No indication if wi-fi is available. They charge if you want to recharge your devices while you eat. Self-service service water. For dessert I strongly recommend the Thai milk tea - extremely sweet and finished with some of those jelly things that are popular across Asia.
Service was not terribly attentive and it took them a lot longer to make & bring me the milk tea than it took them to bring the sashimi bowl. Curious. They also had extremely loud music playing inside from a Bluetooth speaker. Better to have cut the volume in half and positioned the speaker...
Read more"ITO talaga ang dapat niyo puntahan sa Session road." I've heard about this Japanese restaurant from my brother when they go to Baguio. We went here for dinner craving for Japanese food. First I saw in the Menu was their A4 Wagyu Sirloin. I always have my steak Medium Rare and they were able to cook it to my heart's content. Pink red center, soft and juicy on the inside. The price was cheap compared to other restaurants that would serve wagyu sirloin steak. We also ordered Ebi Tempura, you can never go wrong with that. And ofcourse, we ordered maki rolls. Rainbow Roll and California Maki. Rainbow roll was topped with torched Salmon and I like how the flavor explodes in your mouth. I did not need to dip it in soy sauce. The spicy Salmon salad would be a good recommendation for your starters. Overall, I loved the preparation, presentation and flavor...
