Cole's Cansi is a small eatery along Escario St. in Cebu City. We went there upon the recommendation of a friend.

It's main dish is cansi, a Visayan specialty of beef and bone marrow, boiled for hours and made sour with a fruit called batuan. Served with rice. Perfect meal for meat lovers.

We also ordered their other specialty, their crispy fried pork knuckles. Gotta eat it with your bare hands to really enjoy the experience. Other menu items we ordered were Cansi flakes, and fired boneless milkfish. All food were 2 thumbs up. Cansi is the best we've had so far

Service is good although we had to wait until a table for 5 was available. The restaurant is quite small, the area could only accommodate about 20 persons at a time. There is an al fresco dining area with just 2 tables for 2 or 3 persons.

Parking slots right in front of the resto, could be difficult to get one...

Definitely get the marrow bowl. That was a big mistake last time. Everything was fabulous.. Love this place 💘 I went during the week around 1 pm. It was very quiet but the service was good and the soup was fresh. I really liked the cansi only thing is you will not get a bone and marrow with your order. I love cansi in Bacolod so this is the best option in Cebu but recommend ordering a larger bowl for the cansi or going with a friend so you get marrow. Also they don't use that much batwan, so if you're expecting a really tart taste you'll be...

A must try! 🤤 The Ilonggo version of Bulalo is now in Cebu. Tastes so authentic Feels like you're Negros 🤗 Cansi is a Filipino beef soup made with beef shank and bone marrow. Every tub is served hot and fresh from the kitchen. Good for sharing 2-4 pax/depending on your appetite. You can also add bone marrow for 70pesos only. Cansi is way too different from other dishes because this dish traditionally makes use of "batuan", a native fruit in western visayas region which adds a rich sour flavor giving it a more...

I had the solo Cansi for 210.00. It’s still huge though! Still good for 2 pax. I was craving for a late night soup and they were still open. It’s just near Quest Hotel. The place is neat and comfortable. It was my first time to have Cansi. As a first timer, I’d say I’m very satisfied. It’s sour and tasty. But the taste is not overpowering. It’s quite nice. I ate it without rice and I did not get too queasy with the taste.

Perfect for an overcast weather. Love the taste of their Cansi (special with marrow) which serves 2-3 pax, Solo and Regular Cansi doesn’t have the marrow. Though they serve us with a warm Cansi, it should have been hot hence the rating. Their chopsuey is also worth it, the vegetables are still crunchy if you prefer it this way.
