Olio presents itself as the premier restaurant at Crossroads Cebu, though the experience falls short of the high expectations set by its reputation and accolades. The baked scallops were delicious but suffered from being a bit too creamy, overwhelming the delicate seafood flavor that should be the star of this premium appetizer. The carbonara fettuccine proved more successful, delivering delicious flavors with generous portions of bacon and mushroom that created a satisfying and well-balanced pasta dish. Unfortunately, the beef stroganoff pasta was too salty, while the beef proved disappointingly tough - fundamental execution failures for what should be a comfort food staple. The cream of mushroom soup was decent and worked particularly well when paired with their fresh bread, providing a reliable if unremarkable start to the meal. The baked salmon featured a very generous cut and proved decent in preparation, offering good value through portion size even if the preparation didn't reach memorable levels. I felt that Olio was somewhat overrated based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Google Maps and various awards it has received. The restaurant is certainly not THE BEST in Cebu, far from it, especially considering that their basic dishes were not executed perfectly - a concerning issue when fundamental preparations show inconsistency. Additionally, the staff were inattentive and not focused throughout the meal, creating service gaps that detracted from the dining experience. Each dish proves quite expensive compared to similar restaurants of the same caliber, making the combination of service issues and execution problems even more frustrating. Olio delivers adequate dining with some successful dishes, but the gap between reputation and reality, combined with high pricing and inattentive service, makes it difficult to recommend when Cebu offers better value and execution elsewhere.

I do not recommend going here. Their self proclaimed "Prime Rib Eye" did not look like a ribeye at all. Although it was still cooked to the correct temp and tasted fine. The price of the steak will set you back a high price yet it still does not come with a starch; you had to order it separately. The sides we order to go with the steak were served separately in other plates which was something we did not at all expect. Their fries were pale and soggy, mashed potatoes were good. The garlic in the aglio olio were chopped too big and were therefore undercooked, it was seasoned fine but had way too much oil even for an aglio olio. However the biggest disappointment of the entire meal was the 950 peso cheeseboard which was plated extremely poorly. It did not come with crackers and the grapes were room temp, and off the vine. The only good thing about the entire meal was the service and attentiveness of the staff. They were friendly and welcoming, The ambience of the place was calm and relaxing. For a restaurant with this price range the entire meal was definitely not worth it.

Just had a dinner tonight at this place april/19/24 7:30 pm. Spent almost 6k and we were very disappointed. Lamb was too fatty, tenderloin shouldnt be called tender as it was hard and dry. Annoying part. It took too long to be cook and serve COLD!! I ask for manager. No manager on site just a chef. Staff are inexperience service was bad, there were 2 tables occupied as you can tell its not busy. We have been to a lot of fine restaurant around the world and this was the worst so far! But, then again. Thats only our experience! We wont ever come back nor recommend thats why we never fall for reviews of other people saying its 5 star because this one is not even closeto 2. We were not even offered a desert or goodbye thank you for coming. So there is goes. Feel free to waste your money.

Dined here tonight and it was. Absoutley horrible experience, I feel robbed.

We starts with the scallops + "cavier" the manager assured me that the cavier was indeed real sturgeon eggs .... think again XD the saltyest eggs ever as if they where just squeezed from a random fish in the ocean and the owner expect customers to not have a palet or realize that sturgeon are only found in fresh water on top of this the "imported Japanese scallops" where awful and rubbery and lacked taste as if they where frozen until put in a microwave.

For mains we decided to get two of the "u.s.d.a. rib eyes" now , as someone who originates from the usa and works in the resturant business I find this laughable! First off these steaks wehere striplions not rib eyes and a 0% chance of being u.s.d.a quality !! They steaks where tough , and tasted as if they where cooked from frozen. No seasoning or salt so you could really appreciate just how awful and dry your lean cut of meat was , without any of the wonderful rendered fat a medium ribeye yields.

For sides we have the "risotto" again it wasn't risotto it was undercooked rice with sauce ,but kudos for sparking my creativity my giro has never has risotto before so after ruining her birthday dinner I went home and cooked her some real risotto!

We also had French fries , again awful but atleast they where fries just not crispy or salted and they clearly didn't blanch them prior witch is such a basic practice

The margarita was also god knows what but certainly no tequila in it.

If I could give a lower rating then 1 start I would totally ruined my attempt to take my girl for a nice birthday dinner, we woukd have been happier with Jollibee.

The owner false advertises on his menu and lies about ingredients we left this establishment feeling as if we where just stolen from.

The positive reviews surely must be paid for DO NOT DINE HERE

10k...
