Went along with my intuition when I saw the first pic here on Google Maps.

I just wanted a nice change of view since I’m so used to working and studying at home. As it turns out—haha—I made the right decision.

I got everything done while spending my day here: school stuff, work, finances, and even planning for the coming weeks :)

So cozy. Comfort room’s clean. The staff are awesome—I even had a chat with one of the baristas. They also offered to look after my things when I stepped out for a quick errand.

I stayed from Monday morning ’til Monday evening. It’s so peaceful and calming. Definitely worth the gastos (aka the investment) hahaha.

I loved their Honey Garlic Chicken. I saw how they served it to other customers too—it was super generous. Very, very worth it, especially since food can be pricey.

The latte was really good, too!! The cup was huge, and since I love coffee, but still, it took me about 8 hours to finish it haha.

There are sockets at every table. Not sure about the Wi-Fi though.

I really had fun! They were so attentive—they’d bring me water every now and then. I was so thirsty at one point I asked for a whole pitcher haha, and they brought it over!

Sana ilibre ako ng manager for this review. Kidding! But seriously, I loved it. I really hope their service never changes!! I think I just found my fave café hehehe ❤️❤️❤️ Beke nemenn.

The location is so good too—you can take a quick break and pay bills since it’s close to banks haha.

I will definitely be...

With a name like Badcafe, the expectations are high for it to be THAT good. Walking along Legazpi St. in Makati, once you lay eyes on the cafe’s facade, you can’t help but pause in curiosity and stare at the pink signage; without noticing it, your BaDCafe experience has started—your mind is already inside ordering coffee.

Your hand automatically opens the door and your eyes scan the well-lit room: a yuppie is working on a report munching on a cookie and her latte brooding beside the glass window near the doorway; three well-dressed men seemed to be holding their business meeting over cold drinks and pesto. The center is the baristas’ long, slick pass. Very cool. You hear laughter as you turn the corner to the inner room. The tables are filled with colorful people hanging out.

Time to order then. You can’t help but anticipate the food as you smell the atmosphere. You sit down and touch the ornamental center plant and notice the exquisite pottery utensils displayed all around. The minimalist-hipster vibe is there dressed in modern features. Your food arrives in the same pottery design. You take a bite. The promise is still kept. Then you stay for hours.

Well done BaD couple Brian and Dianne. Your hard work and vision translated into a modern yet cozy place that radiates effortlessly in that busy street of Makati.

You’ve been...

Mar 2023: First time to try this small cafe near our pad. The ambience is relaxed and inviting. It's well lit and has outlets for every table so you can stay longer. I hope they put bag hangers under the tables. They offer food items for breakfast and brunch. They also have desserts and homemade ice cream. Different coffee selections and cocktails is also being offered together with pica-pica items.

We ordered Lox Bagel and Honey Garlic Chicken with Garlic Rice. The bagel is delicious but I want more slices of smoked salmon to amp up the flavor. The honey garlic chicken is adequate.

We also ordered hot Americano (hoping it was very strong) and the Iced Spanish Latte (which I thought it was milder in flavor). But, I was wrong...the spanish latte was stronger than the americano. So, I requested for fresh milk and brown sugar on the side.

Overall, we are very happy with our food and coffee. We will surely come back to try their other food offerings and cocktails.

Nov 2023: We're back! Ordered Honey Garlic Chicken, Breakfast Sandwich, Latte and Spanish Latte for brunch. Everything was delicious! I loved the coffee art and they also carry merchandise from small businesses like @captainhookedph. We also fed Zaldy aka Fifa, their adopted cat waiting outside...

An FB contact invited me to like the page (I think she owns it) and it turns out it's a nice cafe hidden along the busy streets of Makati. It's along a quieter street though so that's cool. It's surprisingly wide and spacious (I was expecting a smaller cramped cafe given the nature of the area) so that's a pleasant surprise. I had business in the area for a few days so I came here twice and the service is consistent (they're nice staff). It's also heaven-sent for people who do #coffice work like me! It looks like it's designed that way, too: electrical outlets strategically placed near tables that are comfy enough to work in (and many people do, thank goddess they're professionals like me and not overgrown students who don't understand the concept of thisisnotyourunistudyhallkiddos). Free wifi, too. The coffee is great, and the non-coffee drinks are also cool. The food is simple but good, just a few selections which is understandable (try the mac and the breakfast pie quiche thing - winner!). I also love the unpretentious laidback interior design concept. Overall a good vibe. Support local yo!
