I’m totally unsure at how this hotel is rated anything below a 4.5 stars!! tl;dr- worth every penny. Even with the negatives, the positives overpower it making it a wonderful hotel to enjoy my Philippines trip! First let me start off with the negative: 1. Small room - depending on which room you get, it is quite small with only a small hall to pass from door to bed. However, if you are able to to book a larger room (which usually gets booked super quickly and in advanced) then you’ll be enjoying your time and money! 2. Cleanliness - the room is cleaned and maintained daily. However, if you were to stay for a longer period of time, the floors are not well kept if you’re just a long stay guest. The corners of the washroom is ok but the large portion of the washroom is quite clean. 3. AC - because this hotel is environmentally forward, they use the Key card as a power source when you enter and exit. You can leave 1 card in while you have 1 usable card for AC. However, if you don’t then you’ll come back from the heat to a room that’s muggy and hot. **NOW THE GOOD!!** 1. The hotel staff - amazing! Super attentive, empathetic and wonderful! I had a situation at the beginning where no one would pick up my front desk calls, after explaining the situation they were super apologetic and extremely helpful the rest of the trip! Also, each staff is so welcoming and greets you daily. 2. The price - best price you can get in the heart of Makati. Not only is the room modern but for this price, hell yeah I’m coming back! 3. The room - albeit the size, the room itself is quite modern. The washroom is lined with marble tiling. The floors are wood. The sink is enamel. The bedding and pillows are so fluffy and very comfortable (unsure if down or not) 4. The location - this is a top tier location. Not only do you have your own coffee shops, restaurant, salon, spa, and gym at your fingertips within the hotel itself; there are many other restaurants & convenience stores right outside! Also, the 3 main malls in Makati (Glorietta, Landmark, greenbelt and SM) are within a 15-30 minute (depending on pace and foot traffic) walking time from the hotel. 5. Security - security checks each person coming into the building. There is even a dog on duty which I think is one of the highlights because you’re allowed to pet the dog daily if the owner allows it!! There’s also an in room safe below the bed for passports and other small important docs.

The room is super small, but it has good shower and toilet. There’s a kitchen desk which space allows to place a simple oven onto it, idk why they haven’t done it. The staff is not polite at all. First, they take the deposit which is equivalent to 50 pounds. Really got no idea why they take this deposit. There’s nothing to destroy in a room. Apart from walls. Walls seem to be 1mm thick max. Cause you hear every breath the person takes in the next door room. This is the biggest problem tbf. There’s no soundproof at all. I stayed for 4 nights, first two were just perfect, there were no neighbors next door. But then a disaster took place. Two elderly women settled in the next door room. They screamed, shouted, were yelling, they were talking on the phone really loud, watching TV, and all this was happening at 3, 4, 5 and 6 am. 4 hours in a row. Two nights in a row. I wasn’t able to handle that anymore, so at 5am the last night of my stay I came to the check-in desk and asked the staff to solve the problem. The guard went upstairs with me and listened those women talk, but did nothing to it. Then I complained it again, then the staff offered me the room change. That time we had a conversation one of those noisy woman went downstairs to check-out. I told her that her and another woman shouted and screamed all night long. She said, “Yeah we talked a lil loud, but this is 5am, this is morning”, then I asked of staff what the silent hours at the hotel are, they said altogether that the silent hours is 11pm-8am. Then that noisy woman claimed that 8am is the time when the morning officially starts in other countries but in Philippines the morning in the hotels starts at 5am. That’s a nonsense. I asked the staff to fine that woman, to keep her deposit or smt like that. They replied she didn’t break any rules though. Illogical. So they say silent hours is 11pm-8am but cannot fine a woman who was breaking the rule of silent hours all night long. Strange at least. So I attain the videos with the noises I recorded that night. It’s up to you to decide whether to stay in that hotel or not. Highly not recommend. Btw one elevator didn’t work at all.

Not advisable to book and stay in 'The Mini Suites - Eton Tower'. Their customer service is really bad, and their facility is dirty. Their facilities appear well in advertisements, but poor in reality. This hotel will just give you discomfort and inconvenience. Better go to other hotels.

Very Poor Facility: Water heater is dusty and has yellow scales. Room's floor is dusty. The table's surface is not clean. The telephone is very dirty. Light in the toilet area is not working. Calling the building engineer would cause you more inconvenience and hamper you to relax, which would give you burden rather than peace. The door of the shower enclosure does not close well, leaving a small gap which causes the water to pass through and flood the floor of the room. You would then have to clean it or call the cleaners which would cause inconvenience. The hotel is not advisable to those who would just want to relax. The room smells like smoke The vault underneath the bed has a dead fly (this shows poor cleaning and management) The frame of the electric outlet detaches when you unplug a device.

Poor Customer Service: One of the hotel receptionists in the concierge was rugged, arrogant, and very disrespectful in the way she speaks and the way she looks, but there were 2 receptionists who were nice and showed respect to me. One of the hotel staff situated in the front desk who escorted me to my room was very narcissistic and disrespectful. He was fixing his hair inside the elevator and when I was telling him something about the room, he just said "blablabla" and left. Very impolite indeed - a trait that I would not honor One of the guards in the entrance was belittling/demeaning. He was very unwelcoming when I came. This guard asked for the proof of my booking in the Mini Suites and when I showed it to him, he said that The Mini Suites was not the hotel where I booked in and that I was wrong, but he was actually looking at the address of the booking company. When he realized that he was wrong, he didn't even say sorry for his disrespectful tone and disrespectful attitude he showed earlier. But even if I was wrong and came to a wrong hotel, it is very improper to belittle someone and to show an arrogant character whether you are a guard or a receptionist or even the owner. Most of the hotel staff in the Mini Suites were unethical, and when you are a person who honors good character and rejects bad character, the Mini Suites will really turn you off and cause you stress. I asked for towel replacement and toiletries but the items came after 5hours! I have to call twice in order to receive the items I requested.

This hotel does not definitely match their 3-star title. I've been to other hotels (Novotel and the Century Park) only as one attending a seminar in their place, but their treatment was so special and superb to their guests. I've also tried other hotels and their services are all well (Holiday Inn, Go Hotels, etc ). Among the hotels I've been to, The Mini Suites - Eton Tower is by far the worst hotel. I will never...
