General Comments:

Quality and well prepared . Refill is constant/automatic, they dont let you wait

Cooked food - good amount of selection, not to many, not too little. I like it because you get to taste all of the food served.

Pasta - I love it! i can tell that the pasta was freshly made not the ones you can buy in the groceries. LAMB RAGU pasta is must try!

Seafoods - Sashimi is fresh, sushi is so-so/nothing special. They only have crabs and shrimps and some black clams (unlike other 5 star buffets which usually have lobsters and oysters) I asked to get it cooked in lemon and butter. They dont have butter and they only serve it steamed.

Soup - There are only 2 options at the time, wish there were more options for this

Cheese/Bread/Cold Cuts - served 3 types of cheese (as a cheese person, i wish there were more!), they also served 3 types of cold cuts - quality! Please add more cheese and dips and antipasti

Roast Meats- we loved the beef and lamb so much!

Dessert - desserts on that day are on the same category so you dont get to have a 'variety'

I love their mango and guava juice! the fruits are all fresh and crunchy

The breakfast here as a long staying guest was terrible. The Christmas Day breakfast was simply atrocious. It was served in one of the ballrooms on the second floor and we had to share tables with people with children. It was unorganized, the omelet was burnt, food was cold and unappetizing. It wasn't even worth taking a picture of. (We took a picture of the omelet, and while it wasn't as burnt as the others being served, it tasted bad.) We stayed for 9 days and the succeeding days, breakfast only slightly improved from the horrible Christmas Day breakfast. One of the next days, they had us sit in the lounge instead of the buffet area. It wasn't made clear to us at first since we were told we just needed to wait for a table at the lounge. When I went up to clarify, they said we are seated permanently at the lounge and need to walk over to the buffet area from there. The tables at the lounge were tiny as well, for a buffet. Coffee was served late and initially they also forgot the cutlery. Very very poor coordination and service from the staff working at Cafe 1228. New World Hotel was a big disappoinment compared to before the pandemic. Considering we had a wedding ceremony here in Aug 2022, as well as staying for 9 days and as repeat customers for OVER 5 YEARS, you'd think they'd appreciate us more.
