Holiday Inn & Suites Makati by IHG — Hotel in Makati

With regards to Rooms I rate it as 4. The room was clean, not so spacious. The view not quite scenic and the kits like dental, shaving, towel, water, you need to request it even if they know the number of guests in the room who will occupy (if you are 3 you still need to ask for additional kit) The bathroom is clean except that the flow of water in the shower is inconsistent. You should place the temp in average so you won't get surprise if it gets hot or cold during your shower experience.

In terms of Service, they are courteous to the guests but you need to make a follow up for your requests as they may have forgotten it or there had been miscommunication along the way with the concerned departments coordination.

With the Flavors dining experience, the quality of food is good, typical to like every restaurants in the Metro but not superb as what you'll expect with like of a five star hotels. They need to make a well balance meal with their variety of foods offered in the breakfast buffet like there should be Filipino food not just American and Indian foods especially most of the guests they have are Filipinos. They need to consider offering viands not just most fried and sausages. They should also offer pork, beef and vegetables. Specialties like kare kare and the like since weekends for Filipinos are family bonding celebrated with inihaws, soups like nilaga, sinigang and the like.

Location of the area is great since its accessible to malls and different establishments for everyone's daily necessities.

Over all, I rate it 4 stars out of 5. A good stay for families, friends and special occassions with a value for money. Staffs are courteous and friendly. They are also helpful in the way they can and very accomodating.

Note: I'd like to commend Christian who is the Captain Waiter who made a mark in our dining experience for his courteous, polite, assisting us to have a good experience to enjoy our breakfast buffet in Flavors Restaurant. Disappointing Stay, Far Below 5-Star Standards

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say, it was far from the luxury experience I was expecting. I’m not a fussy traveler, but for the price I paid, I honestly expected much more. Here’s why:

Arrival Experience: Upon arrival, I was greeted by a tiny entrance with a swing door, like something you'd see in a budget hotel, not a 5-star establishment. Instead of a grand lobby, I had to take a lift to the main lobby, where I was met with a narrow corridor leading to the front desk—definitely not the welcoming experience I anticipated.

Room Condition: At first glance, the room seemed fine, but upon closer inspection, the floor tiles were mismatched due to a replacement, and the carpet had stains. The bathroom was even worse, with a broken tissue holder, and the most disgusting discovery: a brown stain near the bidet outlet—I really don’t want to know what that was. To top it off, the hangers in the wardrobe were worn out, with paint chipping off, revealing raw wood.

Noise Issues: The walls were paper-thin, and I could hear everything—from conversations in neighboring rooms to noise in the corridor. The slamming doors throughout the night were unbearable, as there was no soft-closing mechanism, making sleep nearly impossible.

Limited Facilities: The hotel offers only one restaurant that serves all meals, with a tiny café lounge in front of the front desk. The lack of dining options is disappointing for a supposed 5-star hotel.

Inconvenient Dining: On the third day, I received a basic A5 photocopy notice under my door saying the restaurant would be closed for a private function, and I’d have to use the tiny café for meals. This is simply not acceptable for a hotel charging premium prices.

Overall, this stay did not come close to the standards of a 5-star hotel. IHG hospitality is clearly not being upheld here, and I feel that for the money I spent, I could have had a much better experience at New World Makati Hotel—which offers a real luxury stay.

I won’t be returning to this hotel and would recommend others to think twice...

Exceptional Staff

Every member of the team, from the front desk to housekeeping care of May, demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and a genuine eagerness to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible. The staff at the Club Lounge, headed by Stevene, were truly amazing. I appreciate the smile and great service that Maricel, Akie, and Nika offered. They made sure to explain all the amenities and ensured that all my questions were answered. It was evident that the staff truly cares about their guests and goes above and beyond to make them feel special.

Impeccable Service

The service at Holiday Inn and Suites Makati is top-notch. Whether it was the prompt room service, the impeccable housekeeping, or the staff in the restaurant, everyone was polite, helpful, and attentive. I was especially impressed with the room cleanliness—each day it was cleaned to perfection, and the amenities were always replenished promptly. The staff's attention to detail was second to none.

Comfort and Convenience

The hotel's facilities were nothing short of excellent. The rooms were spacious, modern, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for both business and leisure. I also appreciated the hotel’s location, which is conveniently situated in the heart of Makati, close to shopping malls, restaurants, and key attractions, making it perfect for both work and leisure trips.
