THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST HOT POT WE’VE EVER BEEN TO, ME AND MY PARTNER GOT FOOD POISONED RIGHT AFTER WE ATE HERE, THE ATMOSPHERE WAS TERRIBLE YOU CANT EVEN CALL IT A RESTAURANT ANYMORE BECAUSE THIS PLACE AND ITS STAFFS CLEARLY LACKS HYGIENE WHICH IS MOST LIKELY WHY 7 OTHER CUSTOMERS ALSO GOT FOOD POISONED. I MEAN WHO KNOWS HOW WORSE IT IS IN THEIR KITCHEN? ON TOP OF THAT THEY WERE VERY INATTENTIVE, ITS LIKE THEY DONT EVEN WANNA DO THEIR JOBS AND I WOULD HEAR NASTY UNNECESSARY COMPLAINS MOCKING THE CUSTOMERS FOR REFILLS AND REQUEST, SPECIFICALLY OUR SERVER AT THE TIME (NIA/ LIA), WAS ACTUALLY BEING PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE WHILST DOING HER JOB, IF I ASKED FOR A REFILL SHE WOULD WALK AWAY BEFORE I COULD EVEN FINISH MY SENTENCE WHICH IS WHY OUR ORDERS WAS ALWAYS INCOMPLETE. TAKE MY ADVICE, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DONT WASTE YOUR TIME EVEN GOING HERE. -0/10 WOULD NOT...
Read moreIf you are looking for an authentic Chinese hotpot in Metro Manila then Chao Shan is the place to dine in.

Side note: smoking is permitted inside. If you are sensitive about cigarette smoke, perhaps you can try their branch in...

None of the meat I ordered was actually served — instead, I got a bunch of tough, chewy cuts or extremely lean pieces with the wrong texture, making them equally hard to chew. I’ve been coming here since 2022, and I can say for sure that ever since fewer Chinese customers started coming, this place has really gone downhill — and the staff have become less willing to serve. Totally not worth the price anymore.
The types of meat I ordered were nothing like what they served. They probably think people can’t tell the difference.
Never spend over a thousand pesos per person just to eat...
