Menu is very straightforward and easy to navigate through though more pictures would make things easier. Restaurant is usually filled especially dinner time, sometimes with a queue outside.
Overall food quality is excellent!
Shrimp Crackers are addicting to nibble on while waiting for the food. You can ask for another serving.
Crispy Patang Bawang is a must-have for its crunchy skin and soft meat from top to bottom. Even after leaving some skin 15 minutes untouched, it's so crunchy like potato chips.
Fely J's Sinigang Boneless Bangus (Milkfish) is near perfection. You must try the guava broth! The scent promises a sweet experience and the thickness of the soup is just great. The bangus needs to be more fresh and it'll be perfect.
Ginataang Nangka at Lamang Dagat is good since I enjoy coconut. It's pretty good but the Crispy Pata is constantly seducing me in tandem with Lengua Rendang.
Lengua Rendang is very soft and tasty. It isn't spicy and perfect to my liking. By the way, lengua is tongue! :)
Sisig Fried Rice can be a stand-alone rice meal or can swing well with other viands. I can say the same for Fely J's Dilis-cious Rice (Anchovy).
Tortang Talong (Eggplant) is good and comes with two sauces, one being ketchup. It's 2 eggplants or 2 halves covered with egg like an omelette. I won't recommend it because it's too simple...
Read moreFriday night and had to pick up my sister from work in Makati. I arrived early and after walking and walking, we decided to eat dinner in Greenbelt. We were supposed to eat at a Filipino/Italian restaurant but we saw Fely J and decided to go for the Filipino comfort food. The left side of the restaurant was full (2 big groups) and the right side was empty except for 1 table with just 2 gentlemen (foreigners I guess). We were seated right beside them, while 4 or 5 more tables were empty. Anyway, we ordered the Vietnamese Spring Rolls (for appetizer), Crunchy Paco (salad and can be side dish), Lechon Kawali as the highlight of the dinner and steamed rice. Everything was delicious and satisfied our hunger and also because we were thinking that what we ordered were all healthy (except for the LECHON KAWALI). The staff were very attentive and helpful, we requested extra dipping sauce for the spring rolls and they happily gave us a new batch. I wanted more lechon sauce but I thought: I’ll ran out of rice. Hahaha. I used their toilet. Good thing, they have it inside the restaurant It was easy to find but there were a lot of doors to go into to reach the ladies room. They have bidet so I am happy. Overall, food was delicious (I should order Kare-kare next time) and price is very reasonable. Highly...
Read moreBest Sotanghon sa Sugpo hands down. A bit salty but what the hey! Its delicious and worth every peso. We reheated it for breakfast this morning and the fact still remains. MASARAP. The pata bawang we had is literally crispy pata with bawang. I was hoping it was the Pata Bawang of Makati from the days of yore a friend of mine is looking for. But its not. Nevertheless, its crunchy and tender. Simot to the bones tender. Toyo dip complements it perfectly. Another champion is the calamares. Soft and crunchy withput being oily. Worth another go. And finally the Kare Kare. Its your typical kare kare. Nothing special to it. Didnt care much for the bagoong. Overall, would return for more of their food...if only to taste the Sotanghon sa Sugpo again. Dessert was mais con hielo and avocado con hielo...nothing much to say about it. Ok naman. Kulang sa pagmamahal etong restaurant na to. I hope mas...
