A hidden secret in Makati. Amazing Hunan Chinese cuisine with affordable prices. It sits in a simple building and has a small English signage. They offer different food from the usual Chinoy-Fukien, Hong Kong Cantonese or Beijing style. They serve a spicy and a bit oily cuisine very heavy on beef and lamb. They also offer clams and fish bit these did not really stand out like the meat dishes. The vegetable dishes were awesome with very different tastes to what we are accustomed.
Favorite were Beans with smoky bacon, bitter gourd omelet, Beef rib in gravy and all the lamb dishes. Their 'Tito' intestines were really good as well as the pig's ears. The clams were not good as well as the really tiny fish. Dessert was unusual a sweet potato buchi that we had to order again.
Dont stay too late or you may get caught in the Chinese drinking groups that often end in fights and bottle throwing. We left at 9:30 and experienced both in the private room beside us.
There are no locals in this restaurant that obviously caters to the Chinese gaming staff but the food is well...
Read moreThis place was terrible! When we ordered they said they were out of a certain menu item that we wanted(the crispy fried pork) so we asked if the sweet and sour pork available, they said no, we asked for other pork dishes and they were also out, the only one available was the garlic pork spare ribs which was 500 pesos more then all the other dishes (obviously an upsell) so we said we would order that when the food arrived the pork dish that was 880 was loose breading with only small pieces of ribs. It was so disappointing and obviously an upsell with no intention of satisfying the customer but their pockets! The string beans were oily and extremely spicy (flavors were not balanced) the service was terrible as well! For a restaurant's in makati this was one of the worst! I don’t mind paying for good food but this place was terrible! Service was awful too! I wish I took pictures of the food. I donot recommend this restaurant! Chow King is better...

This is the go-to spot when you’re craving authentic Chinese cuisine at a reasonable price. The ambiance is typical of an old Chinese restaurant, but don’t let the appearance fool you—the food is truly authentic.
Most of their dishes are spicy. If you’re not a fan of heat, ask the server to adjust the spice level to “mild.” Their standard spice level is much hotter than what’s typical here. However, if you’re up for a challenge, you’re responsible for the consequences.
The menu includes photos, so what you see is what you get. Keep in mind that their portions are meant for sharing (2-3 people).
