There is an incredibly relaxed atmosphere in this place. So relaxed, that the waitress dont even care to look at you when taking orders, and that they'd rather wander around the restaurant and sweep the floors a little rather than seeving your food. We went in here at 13:00, and there were 3 other clients in the restaurant. When we went to order our food at the register the waitress was more focused on her headband than taking our order, so I had to correct her several times. When we finally managed to place the correct order, we got our food after approximately 20 minutes. However, there was a little problem. The quite dry pancakes were very hard to get down without anything to drink, even though we ordered plenty drinks. We managed to finish 2 dishes each, and then about 25 minutes after the food was served, we finally got our coffee (the first drinks we received). Oh yeah, and after this I got tired of waiting for the CANNED soda that I ordered 45 minutes ago, so I went up behind the counter to grab it myself. One thing I can praise this restaurant for, is that their fruit juice is fresh, plucked straight from their own fruit garden. Because I waited over 1 hour to get my orange juice, maybe because I had to wait for the orange to grow. The food was alright, but the service was straight up just trash. However, it always pleases me to see a healthy work environment where there is absolutely zero percent chance of...
Read moreThe food quality was decent and matched the price, the service left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, I noticed that the restaurant had a cozy ambiance, which set my expectations high. However, things took a turn when it came to the service. The waiting time was unusually long, and the server, a young girl, seemed inexperienced and unprepared for the job.
When she finally brought our food, I immediately noticed something was off. I had ordered a frappe, but it wasn't on the tray. I politely asked her about it, and to my surprise, she responded with confusion, saying, “Ay, may frappe ba? Wala akong nilista.” This was incredibly frustrating as I had clearly mentioned it when placing my order.
Her attitude and lack of attention to detail were disappointing. It's one thing to make a mistake, but her casual approach and inability to handle the situation professionally made the experience worse. A basic understanding of the menu and proper communication skills are fundamental for this job, and unfortunately, she fell short on both counts.
Starting my day with such a frustrating experience was disappointing. While the food was satisfactory, the service needs significant improvement. The management should consider better training for their staff to ensure a more pleasant dining experience for...

A short walk from my hotel in Poblacion, Makati, led me to Kanto Freestyle Breakfast. The unassuming exterior gave way to a welcoming atmosphere, and the attentive staff greeted me upon arrival.
Looking for a quick but satisfying breakfast, I opted for a set menu featuring beef tapa, scrambled eggs, and rice. It was the perfect choice to kickstart my day. The beef tapa was the star of the show – perfectly seasoned and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The scrambled eggs were cooked to a delightful doneness, adding a creamy element to the dish.
The set menu paired perfectly with a strong cup of black coffee, a much-needed wake-up call after a long night. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also incredibly affordable, offering great value for money.
