Absolutely adorable little spot off the beaten path and away from hustle and bustle of Burgos. A few tables in this outdoor restro. Arrived to order 2 dishes for take out. Lovely tita turned a fan on specifically for me while I waited for my order. The wait time was a bit but well worth it because it was all freshly made. Got the meals back to the hotel. First bite of the Ginger Chicken did take me back with the spice level but it was delicious. Filled with onions, red peppers, green chili's, leeks and mushrooms along with generous portion of chicken. Plenty of sauce left over so would have been nice to have a small steamed rice to go along with it to make sure all that goodness doesn't go to waste. Next up was the kra pao in beef. Many restros in the area only offered chicken or pork so nice to see the beef as an option. Amazing dish with good portion of rice and a perfectly fried egg on top. Would have been nice to have been able to order it with different spice levels but still had a nice heat but a bit mild for me. You can tell these guys and the young man cooking in the back takes great pride in their work, craft and art. Perfection....for my one little order on a quiet Wednesday night. 700 pesos for both dishes so about $16 CDN. She was also very appreciative and surprised when I gave her a tip to share...
Read moreHonest review: The food is way too expensive for the quality and location. Naggets ko pa yun almost 400 pesos per dish if this was in a well maintained restaurant with decent facilities, but now they are renting an apartment in a residential part in inner Makati. The bottom floor was converted to a kitchen, resto. Very cramped, poor ventilation, the smoke from cooking stings your eyes. Spent 900+ pesos for their seafood tom yum and pad thai. You'd pay the same in a BGC or Rockwell restaurant. Masarap ba? Masarap naman. Nothing amazing, tastes like every other good thai restaurant. Their dishes are a bit on the sweet side. Were we satisfied? Nabusog naman kami pero hindi ko talaga majustify yun presyo for the quality and location and state ng resto. Babalik ba? No. I don't think so. The prices for the actual quality, no parking, and packed space won't make me recommend it here. And honestly? Mejo holdup yun prices 😓
I wish you the best of luck Som's Noodle House but hindi ko masasabi na go-to Thai resto ko kayo for now because of the prices...
Read moreThis little gem of a restaurant offers some very tasty Thai food! 🥘 One of the standout dishes is definitely the Pad Thai, which is always packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with the classic mango sticky rice—it’s a must-try! The portions are very generous, so you’ll definitely leave feeling full & satisfied. The restaurant itself is small but extremely clean, with a calm atmosphere that makes it perfect for a quiet meal away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets. They have a wide variety of authentic Thai dishes to choose from, so there’s something for everyone. We really enjoyed our experience here, and if you’re looking for a simple, laid-back place to enjoy some authentic Thai food, I’d highly recommend this spot! Milk tea is very...
