Budget Mart — Local services in Malay

Everything else but definitely not a budget market. I can't recommend any tourist to shop here. There are so many other ways to buy good things and at normal prices. This market is very professional when it comes to getting money out of people's pockets and you could even call it fraud. Prices at the checkout are different from the price tags. Also pay attention to the expiration date before you buy something. The prices are sometimes up to half as expensive as a few meters away. Card payments are accepted but only with a physical card. Bags and other items have to be left at the door and security is very unfriendly. If you complain you might get thrown out. Sometimes there are more civilian employees walking around watching customers than there are customers in the store. Unfortunately this market has a monopoly on the island and at this location in the DMall because tourists don't know any better and the market is almost the longest open on the island. Despite its name, Budget Mart isn't really for those looking to stretch their budget.
