Pros Housekeeping 5/5 Clean rooms, and public areas (lobby, hallways, pools, dining, etc)

Breakfast 5/5 -Good selection & portion of food

Staff 4/5 -- Friendly, approachable, and helpful —Miss Ara from reception delivered superb customer service. She was very kind and accommodating to all of our needs. —Nightshift security guard was always welcoming, and helpful, attends to guests needs and requests.

Cons: Poor management 1/5 -One of the female assistant managers (who also manages Creyo) was very rude and impolite. We had an incident where my young nephew had mistaken OFF lotion for sunscreen and applies it on his face. He immediately had a severe allergic reaction and developed red, swollen, itchy rashes all over his face. We gave him antihistamine and rinsed his face with cool water (all emergency measures taken). My cousin went to ask the PM security guard for some ice to help soothe the rash, and he went to consult the assistant manager. Just moments after, we heard the assistant manager made a snide comment while passing by the hall “Hindi naman talaga nilalagay ang OFF lotion sa mukha!” (Nonverbatim)

-The assistant manager’s behavior was very unprofessional. This shows how they talk about their guests behind their backs, instead of showing care and checking up on how the child was doing. Also, this was an emergency situation that shouldn’t be mentioned out loud in public/in the hallway. She also did not offer any help or apologize. The security guard was quick to offer assistance and give us an icepack.

-Another incident about guest confidentiality and privacy was when a friend dropped by and asked if we were staying at this hotel. We had no prior contact with this friend. The friend only showed photos from Facebook as “proof” that she knew us. The staff allowed the friend to obtain our room # and go up into the room without asking permission from us. The staff did not call us or confirm whether we knew this person first before letting them up in our room. This is a huge safety issue because the staff shouldn’t be allowed to disclose guest info to other people...

|This place could be so good. The biggest issue here is by far the communication, they just don't know how to communicate it's like there was a culture of fear! |There is work going on at 7:00 a.m. in the morning and nobody communicated this to anybody. |There is a huge glass screen when you are greeted in this Hotel, you honestly feel as if you're a criminal in a bank. It's impossible to hear what they are saying through the glass for the simple reason is there is so much noise in the lobby or they have music blaring very loudly. |I have no idea what the management does here i have the sneaky suspicion they just hide in the background, in fact when i was complaining with regards to my return transfer the manager left the cubicle and let the front office assistance deal with it. ||This is not the way a good hotel is run it's like they don't know how to deal with westerners. ||The breakfast while it's quite nice once they get it right, is predominantly cold you can see the kitchen and it's not far away. I have no clue how the breakfast gets cold from the kitchen to the table. it's like the kitchen prepared but the staff don't go and collect it until... oh it's too late. |This place like i said could be really really good um yeah the air conditioning is not  strong in the rooms as you would have in some of the places and i read a review that said that the path outside was terrible in muddy, You know that's not true that's actually it's the same walk way that there is in all of the side streets in boracay in station 2. So like i said this place could be good it needs change in management and it needs that glass removed from reception a traditionally also needs communication training given to all of the staff or just class this is a filipino hotel i don't let westerners stay here. ||Staying in room 110 was difficult too as the lock is broken on the door, I sprained my wrist trying to lock it, staff try and help but it's broken Mr Manager I suggest you fix it! ||Other than that, room is nice and spacious, pool is like ice but great location and free beach towels for the three minute walk to...

Staying in room 110 was difficult too as the lock is broken on the door, I sprained my wrist trying to lock it, staff try and help but it's broken Mr Manager I suggest you fix it!

Other than that, room is nice and spacious, pool is like ice but great location and free beach towels for the three minute walk...

I just want to share our experience at Piccolo Hotel Boracay. Overall, everything went well during our stay the room was okay, the complimentary breakfast was good, and most of the staff were kind. However, on our last day, we had a frustrating experience with one of the front desk staff, Zei. Since extending our check-out wasn’t possible (because new guests were arriving), we asked if we could transfer to another room just to stay for a few quiet hours, as our service pick-up was scheduled at 4 PM and the standard check-out is 12 PM. Zei checked the availability and quoted us the rate for a 2-bedroom deluxe room (2 pax) plus an additional charge for 1 more adult since we were 3. I asked if we could just pay the 2-pax rate since we would only be staying until 4 PM and not availing other amenities, but she said it wasn’t possible. One of our companions (a family of 2 adults + 1 child) asked the same thing, but she also gave them the same response. Instead, she mentioned we could do an “early check-in” with an additional ₱200, which honestly didn’t address our concern. Later on, we spoke with the supervisor, Kim, who was very accommodating and helpful. She understood our situation and allowed us to check in to one room together with our companion since we were only staying a few more hours and paying for it anyway. This solution was fair, reasonable, and made us feel valued as guests. What frustrated us was that Zei only gave negative answers and didn’t try to look for alternatives or even ask her supervisor for help. It honestly felt like she was more focused on adding charges than assisting us. On the other hand, Kim immediately found an option that worked for everyone. We’re thankful for Kim’s excellent customer service she really saved our last few hours at the hotel. We just hope that staff like Zei can be trained to be more compassionate and solution-oriented, because in customer service, guests should always feel that staff are trying to help, not just shut down requests.

Pros: - near dmall - Nice reception area - Nice reception staff and room staff Cons: -The alley going to the hotel was messy and there were smelly parts - the room was old and dirty - the towels are not white anymore and looks like it needs replacement - the sheets have stains Im not sure if we just got the wrong room but despite the good reviews we’ve seen online, we were extremely disappointed with this hotel. The baggage staff had an attitude when we requested to get something in our luggages since it is not yet time for check in. It’s as if we weren’t allowed to get something in our luggages. Upon entering the room, we saw the ceiling was full of molds and the place is not really clean. We asked to transfer to another hotel room but during the room tour, the door was faulty and the staff called the maintenance to fix the door. We opted to stay in our room as we might be locked inside the room if we transfer. We checked if there are other rooms available but the staff said that it is the only option we had since it is the only room available in the same category. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but we requested for a refund instead. We were able to talk to the hr manager and raise our concerns but we were disappointed in how he handled it. It seemed like the concern was not handled well. He promised to update us within the day but we did not hear anything from him until we saw him in the breakfast area the day after. Thankfully, agoda and the hotel staff were able to process the refund request. Please save your time and check out other hotels instead.

I have been to Boracay a couple of times already and all I can say is The Piccolo Hotel is an amazing place to stay especially when you are in a budget. The Staff is nice and very accomodating, they are one of the kindest frontliners I have met since travelling to the island. They will ask if youd like the room to be cleaned and when they do, the place is spotless. The Food in their resto is really scrumptious, you get a free breakfast for your stay as well. As a Kapampangan I can tell you that if you are hungry no need to go that far if you're staying in the hotel you can order a wide array of food to choose from. Its open from 6 am to 10:30 pm (this may change as they are gearing up for the hotel to open full blast after 12/15/21. They also have a bar ready to serve you at any time of the day. They have a good range of beverage and cocktails to choose from. The hotel has its own pool and jaccuzzi, gym and beach towels are available upon request. The rooms are spacious and clean, the max capacity of the room is 4 but a 1.3k cost will be incurred anything above 2. I highly revommend this hotel, its not a beach front property but its just 3 mins walk to Station 2 easy access to the road and is quiet and relaxing. Accessible to almost anything you need. Just adjust your expectations as it is situated in an alley that is quite rough and may become really damp when it rains.
