My sister and i recently visited this spot, and while getting there wasn’t the most aesthetically pleasing experience, it’s a typical Filipino street scene with a bit of hustle and bustle, it was still fine and added to the local charm.

Once inside, though, I was impressed by how clean the place was. It’s got an aesthetic vibe that feels inviting, perfect for a casual breakfast. Their breakfast selection includes some of the main bowls, which is nice for variety.

Now, if you’re a fan of strong Filipino flavors, you might enjoy it here. But if you’re like me.. more health conscious and prefer balanced flavors this might not be for you. We tried the Bistek Tagalog and Adobo sa Gata, and honestly, I think we made the wrong choice. Both dishes were overly salty for my taste, which really threw me off. On the bright side, there’s a lot of rice served with it, so if you’re a heavy rice eater, that could be a plus.

In short, it’s got a nice atmosphere, but the flavors didn’t hit the...

We ate dinner tho our orders are merienda menus:

Lumpiang Gulay (my favorite and my reason for going there) It’s hot off the fryer, good size and lots of bean sprouts which is my preference. However they should consider concocting special vinegar with red onions, cucumber and chillies to pair with the lumpia considering it’s priced at 220php per order.

Tokwa’t Baboy - I love the pork parts used, as for the tofu, I suggest frying it per piece then slicing it with sides not cooked for better absorption of sauce. For the sauce, it can be improved in terms of sweetness and sourness balance.

Pancit Bihon - noodles were cooked evenly, it has a lot of recados however it’s a bit salty.

Pleasant service from Maui.

Nice place too.

Will comeback to try the...

Very slow service, even when not at full capacity. i waited 45 minutes for my main course to arrive, by which my partner had already finished his meal. The food was overhyped on the pictures, but really quite underwhelming. I ordered Bistek tagalog, which was too salty. On the other hand, the Tortang Talong was EXCELLENT, however the measly serving of the Ceviche was a major annoyance. Come here once, to get your TikTok hype fix out of the way, but honestly I won't be recommending this to anyone nor will I come here again. Also, the price range is ridiculous - small servings for high prices. It also didn't help that a generator was running a few metres away with the noxious exhaust blasting towards us. As one can surmise, it was not a...

We went to this place with the hope of having a real filippino dinner for our last night in the Philippines. We were attracted by all the good comments but have to say that we were not overwhelmed. We had both kare-kare, one vegetarian and the other with beef, as a starter we choose the spring rolls. They were ok and big sizes. The beef in kare-kare was gummy and not tasty. The tofu in my kare-kare was also not good, very dry and the little vegetables were or fried or without fresh taste. The peanut sauce was nice but sadly way too much that in the end the entire dish was drowned in it. Last but not least we found the service could improve a lot. They seemed annoyed and lacked of attention. Sadly we had not a good last filippino dish.
