I have been dining here since it was Little Flour, and this is the first time I ate when it was rebranded to George & Onnies. All the dishes we ordered (and served) were great 10/10 would order again.

However, the service was COMPLETELY BAD!! I tried to be very patient on the first few mixed ups and miscomms among the wait staff because maybe Friday is a peak day for them, but the service never improved until the end.

Our first order is Suman at Mangga, didn’t arrive even after several follow ups, to think it was our very first order!!

Our 2nd set of order comprised of Sisig, Liempo and Papaitan and Tinapa Rice. It was served around 10-15 mins however, sisig as the first dish that came out was erroneously being served at the table beside us, the second dish arrived and being served again at the table beside us. Only Papaitan was served correctly directly at our table.

When we ordered the dishes above, we also ordered a drink and desserts in advanced to be served later (reminded also of the 1st order). They took these orders and no advise if unavailable or for checking. When we finished our meal, we asked those to be served already. We followed up countless times but they never arrived. We were disappointed and decided we will just cancel that’s when they say they are still preparing 1 of 3?? And the rest is out of stock?? How come when the orders were taken even before they served the meals but no advise about it and took us 4 follow ups to be advised it is unavailable and 1 just being prepared at this point??!!

We insisted we will cancel and just give us the bill, the bill came out right away. They took my loyalty card and the receipt never came back. We were so annoyed I stood up and went to the bar/counter, the receipt and loyalty card was just sitting there!!! So for this type of service, I will never dine in here again. SERVICE IS A DISASTER.

Oh! I almost forgot, we had take outs, and considering the VERY POOR SERVICE, i checked our take outs and alas!! the take outs from the table beside us were mixed in ours. I overheard them following it up several times, turned out the staff placed it in our set. They were so frustrated as well. What made it so annoying for them is that the wait staff casually took the take out container and placed it on their table without plastic or paper bag. The lady even have to ask for a plastic bag to put their food containers in.

The management should look into this and hopefully have some improvements, otherwise the lots of poor reviews regarding their service here in...

It was my first time eating here. Dined here on a Saturday for lunch and as usual expected it to be busy and packed. A couple of comments however.

Food was great overall. Was amazed with the presentation and overall quality of the food. I had high expectations as I have worked in the hospitality industry for quite a while.

FOOD

Beef Pares - Meat was tender and soup in of itself had great flavor profiles. It was savory and had the right saltiness. Chicharon Bulaklak - Seasoned just right, could be crispier though. Vinegar dip was the winner for me, had a touch of Cilantro which was a great call on the kitchen end. Served with atsara on the side, pretty standard. Gising Gising - The flavor profile was great. However the sauce could have been reduced a bit more to emphasize the coconut milk a bit more and for a thicker consistency. Garlic rice - was great. Could have been seasoned a little bit more.

SERVICE

Service wise, we were slightly disappointed as the staff could have been slightly more attentive. We waited outside for a while expecting someone to attend to us and offer us seats, but we walked right in and helped ourselves. Water didn't come as expected, even though we were parched, I know it was busy however we noticed some vacant seats so the restaurant wasn't completely full, could be the restaurant is under-staffed. Staff was friendly though and they did a great job! It's probably just the lack of man-power.

ATMOSPHERE

Great ambience! A touch of modern and industrial. The dim lighting and mirrors made the place look and feel cozy. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes me think, yes I would definitely come here just for the ambience.

Overall experience was great though, and will...

First and foremost, I'd like to apologize for showing some signs of what one would call distress, because I didn't have enough money nor power to get my hands on the Garlic Noodles, as it sounded very promising and I really wanted to try it, so I promise that when I come back I'll be sure to get that as my next order. Now for the actual item in the menu I ordered, the Matcha Tea LattƩ was never disappointing, the silkiness of the tea was just right, and even though there were tea particles bunched up when I almost finished the tea they were gone as soon as I stirred it again, and it was perfectly sweet, so I have nothing to complain. As for my friends' coffee lattƩs, well, I'm sure the empty cups or mugs were a sign that they still loved it. As for the soup salad sandwich, my friend said it was surprisingly one of the best things he ate in a long time. For the service, y'all did a great job, especially if you asked us if any of us dietary restrictions, and had an efficient process of giving away you discount cards, it goes to show how much thought you put into every action whenever another needs an action. I also noticed that there are a lot of active, as in, active employees going left and right within the cafƩ which is actually a good sign because it means the hustle is real and that's very important. I would suggest that there'd be some minimal light on the center of the whole room, Sure, side spotlights are a mood to some people but there will be other people looking otherwise. Overall I promise to comeback here and enjoy Little Flour...

With Wildflour’s exit from Megamall comes George and Onnie’s—a replacement that, sadly, doesn’t rise to the occasion. I’m more than willing to pay a premium for exceptional food, but here, the offerings lean heavily on Filipino comfort fare, and the pricing feels disproportionate to the mediocre experience. The bright spot? The sisig rice bowl. I couldn’t confirm which parts of the pig were used, nevertheless the result was crisp and deeply satisfying—arguably the highlight of the meal. As for their take on palabok, there’s an attempt at being not the same as others by swapping traditional rice noodles with sotanghon (glass noodles). Not your usual, yes—but unfortunately, it misses the mark. But that’s not the biggest sin— the flavor profile was surprisingly flat; it lacked the umami expected of this beloved dish. One wonders: how difficult is it to craft a truly rich, savory palabok sauce? Moving on to the crispy pork belly claypot rice—it had promise. The socarrat added authenticity. However, the portioning was perplexing: four slivers of liempo for ₱545. One might call that a bold pricing strategy; others, highway robbery. In fairness, I acknowledge the added value of claypot preparation and the accompanying bagoong rice and vegetables—but again the flavor execution felt underwhelming. So if the flavor’s not there, it made me reflect on the reality of dining economics: why not for the same price, getting a third of a kilo of lechong kawali elsewhere might offer more satisfaction. Filipino food should never be served stingy.

Food Highlights from Our Sunday Lunch ✨ (Yes, it was Father’s Day, and yes, it was packed!) šŸ² Kare-Kare So tender it almost melts in your mouth! Rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with just the right touch of nuttiness—not overpowering at all. šŸ”„ Sisig Surprise twist: it was crunchy! We were expecting the usual soft and juicy kind, but this one stayed crispy till the last bite—and we loved it. Perfect with plain rice. šŸš ā˜• Hot Ginger Turmeric Tea Simple, calming, and relaxing. No frills, just that warm feeling that makes you want to order a second cup. ✨ Dinakdakan – the ultimate combo of crunchy and creamy in every bite. šŸ² Pork Sinigang – melt-in-your-mouth tender pork swimming in a perfectly sour broth that tastes like pure nostalgia. Rainy day? This is your hug in a bowl. 🄤 Sago Gulaman & Dalandan Soda – sweet, refreshing, and guaranteed to quench your thirst. Can’t wait to come back and try the other dishes on the menu! And by the way, the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Service was top-notch! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. Polite, quick, and very accommodating. šŸ’¬ Which one are you craving right now – Dinakdakan, Sinigang, KareKare or Sisig?šŸ‘‡
