Hi! Can I share our experience here? We had the worst experience in Soban Megamall. We arrived around 8:30 PM, and were 7th in line. Maureen, one of the servers listed our name and seemed annoyed that there were more people coming in even if it was almost 9 PM. She did not seem genuine, and she was not happy to assist us. She didn’t even engage in eye contact the whole time. Around 9 PM, we were called and was “pointed” to our seat. That was it, she just pointed our seat to us. Upon arriving in our table, the surface was still wet and dirty. I had to ask one of the male servers to dry it. Maureen took our order and she rushed us so I said we’ll have sundubu jjigae first and steamed egg. I told her that it was only our initial order since we were already so hungry, and will still review the menu to finalize our order. She mentioned that she will not give us side dishes unless we order more. I told her, I will order more later. She was very discriminating. After 5 minutes, I proceeded to order some premium meats, and asked her to serve some side dishes already. One of the female servers came and asked us if we want to have the premium meats cooked in the kitchen and we said yes. The sundubu jjigae soup came and it tasted too salty. The steamed egg came and it was overcooked and it smelled burnt. I raised this to the same waitress, Maureen, and she sighed. The manager approached and said they will replace the egg. Since it was around 9:30, Maureen proceeded to clean the surrounding tables and kept banging on the plates and utensils beside our table. It was like she was doing it on purpose to annoy us, and ensure we didn’t have an enjoyable experience. Around 9:40, the cooked premium beef came, and they were overcooked and burnt, I mentioned this to the waitress and she said “nasobrahan lang ng luto may dugo kasi”. I mentioned it to the manager again, and she said that we requested it to be “toasted”. I said, we wouldn’t ever want premium beef to be “toasted”, and I did not put in such request. It was obvious that both the kitchen staff and wait staff were rushing since it is almost closing time. I mentioned that we would just cook the beef by ourselves, so they gave me a raw one. We started cooking and eating but we were not enjoying our “well deserved” meal that cost thousands of pesos. The wait staff made us feel that we were not welcome. Honestly, it didn’t feel like a premium experience, it felt like we were in a food court. It was disheartening. It was honestly the worst experience. I dined in other Soban branches and went home happy, the Megamall branch is...

At the end of our meal, I was offered a free coupon for a dessert on our next visit if I write a google review. This was my original review as I was being observed by the waiter while typing the review. After typing the said 4-Star review, he half-jokingly mentioned to me that it should be a 5-star review.
It would be unfair to the community if a google local guide can easily be bribed by an ice cream dessert. So because of this, I was more than encouraged to write a comprehensive review of this restaurant.
Details of Visit: Around 1430H, 2 pax.
Location: The restaurant is conveniently located in the 3rd floor of Megamall across Pizzahut.
Restaurant: When we first entered, we were told that the table we picked was not functioning and we were offered a different table. The exhaust hood on the grill was set too low and can't be adjusted making it quite hard to cook large pieces of meat.
Cover Charge: Around Php 500.00 to Php 600.00 per head
Food: 6/10, The vegetables for grilled meat were not drained properly, rice is soggy.
Tip: Check the bottom of the table while cooking, the table where we were seated was leaking oil from the meat we were cooking, it ended up staining our shoes.
Final Thoughts: Value for money is fair. Will I come back again? No. They should stop inviting people to give a review in exchange for a coupon for...
