Super nice and peaceful place. Beautiful aquariums and relaxing to watch fishes.
Not as crowded as those cafes in hyped up Ongpin so I can still say this is quite a hidden gem.
Quite pricey though justifiable given the ambiance.
I tried their new drinks as they are already near closing time (maaga magsara 7pm).
Shirley temple with a cherry on top, and pink guava iced tea. They are sweetened with syrup.
They are around for many years now and the cafe has greatly improved. I think it is not as aesthetic, or should I say, it looked more simple back then.
No wifi but has toilet.
Would be better if their straw is biodegradable. Or if they serve in glasses (for dine in). I mean they are supposed to be an aquatic cafe so to protect and respect marine life is a must. Plastic straws get accidentally lodged inside turtles' nostrils, and microplastics end up being eaten by fish. These are plastic pollution...
Read moreCafe Aquatica presents a peaceful ambience to all of its visitors. Its somewhat quiet and foreign atmosphere heavily contradicts Binondo's penchant for chinese food, warehouses and dark alleyways. Students could crash here to study because the aquascapes can provide a sense of comfort while the music that plays in the background is not too overpowering.
The shop also sells pet-quality bettas for those who want to start the hobby, but I would recommend consulting with experts first before buying fishes. Never let the allure of owning an ornamental fish blind you from the fact that it's a being...
Read moreI spent a few hours here, some with my kid, some alone. The aquariums are great fun for a while. Then attention turns to drinks, he had Royale Orange, called a Fanta in the West. My Hong Kong Tea was excellent. A house hamburger, with some fries included, was pork, not beef, but the menu declares that. It was ok, but then, I am a burger Connoisseur! So it is hard to please me. Finally my GF had a cappuccino, but it was too sweet. My later ice tea was too sweet too. So be warned: ask for unsweetened drinks with a side of sweetening syrup, then you can avoid that. They are happy to do so. It is a nice place to relax by the Binondo Church, or to eat a snack or small meal. The French fries were very good. I do recommend it if...
