Ilang-Ilang Restaurant — Restaurant in Manila

It looks like an old authentic— Chinese restaurant. We visited around 9 AM, probably at their opening time. They were still cleaning and preparing. It's an air-conditioned restaurant, but when we visited, the aircon wasn’t turned on, so it was a bit hot. Friendly staffs, although they weren't wearing uniforms. Not so clean place for me. The menu was a bit expensive, but the servings were good for a big group.

We just ordered a bowl of beef dish and fried rice (similar to chaofan), good for 3 people, and the bill was around 900 pesos, and we waited about 15 to 20 minutes before the food was served.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. One look inside Ilang Ilang may not attract you to dine in-old looking, air conditioning not cool enough BUT the good food makes up where it lacks in the interiors. I used to eat here very regularly before the pandemic. 5 years later, food is still as good as ever! Highly recommended are Yangchow fried rice, rice wine chicken, beef amplaya, oyster cake.
