We ate at Mary Grace Lucky Chinatown Mall Branch last December 22,2023. We went in around 8:15 pm. We were assisted by their waiter named Janho. He gave us the menu, and while we’re checking the menu, he was tapping his pen on his notebook as if telling us to hurry up. But I just shrugged it off since I just want to eat my food. I ordered prawn salad and a slice of strawberry shortcake while my mom ordered your all day breakfast bangus. I told Janho I wanted my cake to be served later because it should be frozen right (as they’ve advertised ). I don’t want it melting on the table while we’re eating our mains. He agreed and after awhile, my prawn salad was brought out. To my surprise, the cake was in the table as well. I told one of the waitress (Shane) to please put it back in since I have not yet started eating my salad, and my mom’s food was not even brought out yet. She agreed and took the cake inside, after a few mins I think 3-5 mins. My mom’s food was brought out and the cake is once again on the table. We have not yet even started eating. I really find this disrespectful as if tricking me by going behind my back and putting the cake back out. I told Janho server to please put it back in like what we agreed upon in the first place for the cake to be served later. He told me he can do that but they might forget, it is much better to leave it on our table and asked me if I really want to take it back in. I told him yes I wanted it refrigerated while I’m finishing my salad. But he INSISTED, to just leave it there. That is when I lost my appetite and told him to just cancel it. Why would you ask me in the first place if you’ll be the one to decide? When we started eating our food, Janho came back asking us to pay already. We just had 3 mouthfuls, and he’s asking us to pay already. I really find this disrespectful. This was the last straw, your branch definitely has a problem. They are very rude. You cannot ask guests to pay 10% service charge when the service is this bad. We have been patrons of this branch since they’ve opened. The other staffs even recognize us whenever we dine in. We’re here at least once a week. But it seems like their service is...
Read moreEntering Cafe Mary Grace in Lucky Chinatown Mall in Manila feels like stepping into a cozy retreat where every detail speaks of passion for flavor and tradition. I had the pleasure of experiencing two standout creations: the Seasalt Vanilla dessert and a Coffee Latte that truly impressed.
The Seasalt Vanilla is a creative twist on a classic favorite. The dessert offers a luxuriously creamy base with a gentle hint of vanilla that is rich yet balanced. A delicate sprinkle of sea salt enhances the natural sweetness and adds a surprising savory note that awakens the taste buds. Every bite presents a harmonious interplay of flavors that is both innovative and deeply satisfying.
The Coffee Latte is equally remarkable. Prepared with care and precision, the latte delivers a robust coffee flavor that is mellowed by the creaminess of well-steamed milk. The foam is light and silky, creating an inviting texture that elevates the entire experience. With each sip, the coffee reveals layers of roasted nuances and a subtle sweetness that lingers pleasantly.
The atmosphere at Cafe Mary Grace is inviting and thoughtful. The service is attentive and the presentation of the food and drinks reflects an unwavering commitment to quality. The combination of traditional charm and modern creativity makes this cafe a delightful destination for those who appreciate genuine culinary artistry.

Read moreIt was our first time visiting Cafe Mary Grace for dinner tonight and it happened to be at this location. There was a homey feel to it soon as we stepped in. Must be the way the entire restaurant was decorated... impressive. We tried San Rival, Cheese Rolls, Chocolate Truffle, Spanish Sardines Pasta, & Cream of Mushroom Pasta & had a loaf of fruit cake to go. We liked all of it. It was almost perfect until the manager refused to give my aunt her senior citizen's discount just because she doesn't have a Philippine ID (she is now a US Citizen). How come all other restaurants we've been to gave her a Senior's discount like Cafe Mezzanine in Ongpin, Pino's in Maginhawa, Restaurants in Coron, Palawan, Jollibee, & Max's in E. Rodriguez. We even showed the manager a receipt from Max's where we had lunch today showing the discount my aunt got for being a senior citizen. What makes Mary Grace Cafe different? Or was it just the manager? The corporate management should take a good look into this, as this is a clear case of discrimination against our Senior Citizens. As to our Balikbayans, consider this...
