Restaurant atmosphere and staff service is good. Unfortunately some of the menu items are not available. I also find the miso ramen too salty to the point that it already overpowered the miso flavor.

店舗が二つあり、テーブル席とBARの方は日本人とKTV嬢でうるさい。隣のカウンターのみの店舗がお勧め。日本の小料理が豊富で、頼んだ鮨も美味しかった。スタッフも愛想よく、常連で埋まるものの、一見さんで訪れても全く問題ない。/ There are two separate spaces. The space with table and bar is noisy by the couples of Japanese and KTV girls. I recommend another one with the counter table. A lot of Japanese food, also sushi is fresh and good. The staff are friendly. There are the regulars, but no problem even if you are the first-time visitor.

Under new and better management, Improved menu, service and establishment. Price ranges to 250 pesos up per person. Serves liquor. Authentic Japanese food, Friendly crew and owners. A must go place around the metro. Two Restaurants side by side, Mattoi 1 offers spacious dining around 30 persons including the bar. Mattoi 2 kitchen area, small dining good for 8 persons only. I suggest Mattoi 2 so you can meet the friendly chef...

The owner have a nice attitude, but the waitresses are the worst professionals I have found in my 25 years staying in Manila. Uneducated staff. Noisy, chismosa, cheating the owner, very bad experience. Wait 30 minutes for any yakitori dish you have ordered. It's a shame because the place is cozy and you really seem to be in a Tokyo...
