I recently dined at President Chinese Restaurant and found the experience thoroughly enjoyable. The food was a standout, with each dish delivering explosive flavors. Highlights included the oyster cake, three-way roasted Peking duck, which was a marvel of texture and taste, and the classic offerings of fried rice and sweet and sour pork, both executed to perfection.

Venturing off the beaten path with menu choices like fried frog and polonchay proved to be a delightful decision, as these dishes were surprisingly very good and added a unique touch to our meal.

The service at President was commendable, with a special shoutout to Evelyn, whose kindness and friendliness enhanced our dining experience significantly.

While the overall ambiance of the restaurant can be described as quite aged, it contributes to the charm and authenticity of the place. It's evident that this establishment has stood the test of time due to its quality and popularity.

In conclusion, President Chinese Restaurant offers a satisfying culinary journey with its excellent food and warm service. Despite the older decor, the quality of the meal speaks for itself, making it a worthwhile destination for those seeking authentic...

I’m currently traveling in the Philippines. Being a foodie, I’ve been experiencing different restaurants every day and night. Read the reviews for the President Grand Palace and decided to go for lunch today. The food served was good and tasty except they served me cold duck. I could deal with that. What I can’t deal with was the ROACH that crawled from underneath the table and showed up next to my Fried Rice. I jumped out of my seat, cashier tried to kill it but it jumped to the floor and disappeared. I guess staff was used to it because no apology was given, only a response “ all restaurants have those small cockroaches” ah no they don’t. I told him I’ve been dining out everyday and night and this was the ist roach I’ve seen. Still horrified, my aunt and I sat discussing it when another roach flew on my arm. I screamed this time and brushed it off me and one of the staff stepped on it. They didn’t even have the decency to pick it up and throw it away. I couldn’t sit back down. I asked for a manager and the staff says there isn’t any on duty. Really???? Ist and last time in this place. Not even sure I can eat Chinese food anywhere else after this...

Been a while since we last went here. The food doesn't taste as good as their glory days a decade ago. Place is still very roomy but would have rated it higher if we didn't find a small cooked cockroach in our fried rice! Growing up on ongpin and binondo Chinese food, it's not news that Chinese restos aren't the cleanest. Or fine, they're dirty. But to actually find something in our food! We already finished around 3/4 of the rice by the time we found it. The manager didn't even apologize and acted as if it's nothing new to them. They didn't charge us the fried rice but they did charge us for the extra white rice we ordered. We didn't argue with them but they could have atleast gave a discount or something for compensation. We probably won't be coming back for a while (probably more than a...

Ordered squid with salt and pepper but got the ribs instead. They were willing to change it but not worth the trouble or the extra waiting time. I really didn't mind. Beef in oyster sauce was so-so. Waiters were courteous and quick on their feet, but what really bugged me were the flies (yes, plural) which probably came from the outside streets. Chinatown is a curio for tourists. As a local visitor, with all that money going around this place, couldn't they improve the streets? I'm sure the dragon nesting here wouldn't mind the extra upkeep. Honestly, it's for better Feng Shui.

Our server Mhar was very attentive and very nice, he is always smiling as well, that’s a big thumbs up for us! The food are great! The pecking duck is super worth it. We had it done two ways, one is the pancake style and the other is lettuce wrapped which are both really good. The large yang chow was unexpectedly tooooo big for us! it’s good we had a lot of take out. The salt and pepper squid and salted egg shrimp was perfectly cooked and both cunchy. Over all experience was great!!!
