I unfortunately got food poisoning from the oysters served during their special wine dinner. For context, I didn’t drink a full glass, just took a sip of each wine offered, and didn’t enjoy any of them. My family has been dining at Yurakuen for years and we've always loved their bento sets, so this was a truly disappointing and shocking experience.
It seemed like this might have been their first attempt at hosting a course-style dinner, and unfortunately, the preparation and flavors fell short. One notable issue was the soup, which was difficult to eat. There were no towels or tools provided, yet the shrimp was unpeeled, forcing diners to use their hands. It made the experience feel unhygienic.
A lot of the food came out luke warm—not in a good, intentional way, but like it had been sitting out for too long. That’s probably what happened with the oyster too, even if it was meant to be served cold
I sincerely hope the restaurant takes more care in ensuring their ingredients are fresh and properly handled, especially when serving raw seafood as they are a Japanese restaurant after all to prevent customers who could fall victim to food poisoning like me.
Despite this experience, I still recommend Yurakuen for their cooked dishes, particularly the bento sets. However, I would caution against ordering anything raw, as the freshness and food safety standards did not seem reliable during...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Yurakuen in Diamond Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I made my reservation, Maricel provided exceptional service following up diligently from day one until the night of my dinner reservation. Her attentiveness made the process seamless and welcoming. Upon my arrival, Maricel was busy assisting other guests, but Tony at the entrance graciously guided me to my table. Jen, one of the servers, was very polite and took my order. When I mentioned I wanted beef, she thoughtfully presented all the options and even helped me choose. Gia also assisted me, making sure everything was perfect. The level of service was simply above and beyond. The food? Absolutely fresh and delicious. There was so much to enjoy that I couldn’t finish everything! Yurakuen truly delivers an unforgettable dining experience, from the quality of the dishes to the warmth of its staff. I will definitely return before I leave and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional Japanese cuisine and top-notch service. Thank you to the entire Yurakuen team for making my dinner so memorable I’m heading back to Las Vegas with a wonderful...

I got a big rice roll with mayonnaise salmon skin, crab stick, some bread crumbs egg inside and something like salmon but hard identify. After order arriving i ask woman in black that is not salmon roll with creme cheese. The staff in black clothes don't know what is it salmon roll with creme cheese. She apologised and said we don't have fresh salmon. They serve rice roll without wasabi and newer refreshing tea cup. It was cold always. Tea was made from tea bag! Not real tea life, frot tea bag! For that price 1400 pesos for roll? Beer cost me 320 pesos for 330 ml. Also they bring to me menus in tablet which is don't have any picture and discription! Only name and price!
