Read moreThe vegetables are cooked well and have not lost their natural water content. Pork is fried well but is very soft and flavourful. There's more drink selections than in other Cabalen I've been to. No bugs or debris in sight in this very clean place. The AC and fans all work well but silently. Lighting is diffused well but the fans do create a slow store effect on the table. A worry for those who suffer seizures. The chocolate fondue is meant to be kept warm to suddenly solidify on cold plates and marshmallows. Here they're both room temperature. The sushi is presented well and tastes are good as it is illuminated. It was the middle of the day when ordered and the Wasabi was barely touched. Soundproofing is good. Room echo may need to be fixed by use of a sound absorbing panel. There is plenty of room between tables and chairs but tables should be moved away from the serving bars to prevent people bumping into those eating. One more thing, there must be a sign to deter children from eating the sliced fruits with bare hands at the serving bar. I've also seen one put a marshmallow back that she had touched but it wasn't her color.
Despite the minor faults it's a massive step up from Cabalen in the Fish Mall. Well done
Just make sure the coffee and tea are hot next...
Read moreThe food was great. I especially like the pork giniling dish. The atmosphere was alright. It gave me a chill, feel at home vibe. Coffee was cold at first but was quickly remedied. The kitchen staff is also vigilant in replacing food that's run out.

I was expecting a bit of collaboration from the staff after knowing this information, like how it usually is with restaurants. But my expectations were let down. We ended up singing to my niece ourselves.
At first, I didn't mind it. Maybe because the place that day was understaffed or it's the peak hours which I understand. But, as we were about done, my sister noticed a staff member holding a birthday sign by the entrance.
So, the staff are prepared for such occasions. Was there someone else whose birthday was the same day and are theirs more important than my nieces'?
My point is, if they're prepared for such occasions as they should be, make it a point to put effort into showing it. That ruined my experience, honestly because it's for my niece. If it was for me, I wouldn't care.
If we ever come back, I hope this changes because you are...
