Iâm not into buffets, Eat All You Can restaurants anymore since Iâve aged. But we needed to entertain special guests who were in a nearby hotel, so we decided to give this restaurant a go. First impression was the lovely space/place and the stunning view. The staff, especially Jonathan, was super courteous from the time we entered til we finished our meals. Heâd constantly check on our table, tell us to âenjoy your mealâ. Other staff would suggest for us to try the pasta corner, the Japanese area, etc. Servers were all attentive. They even gave us samples of Indian hash brown, which were quite good!
âLean but meanâ-my thoughts on the food choices. Thereâs enough selection per area without being overwhelming. Instead of the usual unlimited food and drinks that can overwhelm the eyes even before tasting them, each area featured the highlighted specialties of the country. Then there were only 3 unique cold drinks-the guava concoction, which I liked immensely; the salted coffee caramel and another that I forgot the name of but was equally unique. Meanwhile, hot coffee and tea were offered by the staff while going around the tables.
For the Italian corner, the lady chef was kind enough to prepare a sampler of all the pasta in one plate, which my son and I loved. Same goes for their pizza. Too bad we couldnât eat more coz we were getting full with each bite! Japanese food has always been my favorite. The cocktail shrimps were plump, juicy and so fresh just like the salmon sashimi.
We dined on a weekday. There was only one server in the ice cream area so this could be a âtrafficâ issue but then maybe during peak hours or weekends, there are more servers. We were the first to arrive past 6:00PM but the dining hall slowly filled as the night progressed.
Overall, it was a lovely dining experience. We were all full without feeling heavily...
Read moreWe decided to try out a new buffet place that advertised unlimited seafood, including lobsters, prawns, and crabs. My partner was informed of an hour-long wait. The lady at the lobster station informed him that they typically serve 5 lobsters per table. My boyfriend asked if it would be possible to increase the order to 10 lobsters to avoid another hour-long wait if we wanted more later. She agreed and noted down the request. After a one-hour wait, they served us half a lobster and two heads, which, as depicted in the picture, didnât amount to much lobster meat. The variety of dishes offered was limited. It would have been preferable to have a smaller selection but ensure that popular dishes are consistently available without running out.
The salmon and tuna sashimi were delicious and exceptionally fresh. The roast beef was also flavorful. While the steak wasnât as tender, it still tasted good. The pizza was delightful, with a particularly enjoyable dough texture and absence of greasiness. Additionally, the beef broth was fantastic, and the fruits were sweet.
We noticed that ordering through the staff results in faster service compared to placing orders ourselves. Despite being assured that our items would be delivered to our table, we found that without a follow-up, they were often not brought to us.
This feedback is solely based on our experience. Given that the establishment is relatively new, there is room for improvement in both the selection of dishes and the...
Read moreBefore today, I didn't even know this place existed. We were invited to celebrate a birthday party and drove down. The hotel itself has ample parking.
With complete honest, this is one of the better buffets I've been to. This may have dethroned Manila Hotel as my favorite hotel buffet especially because the price per head is below PHP 3,000/head.
The spread selection isn't the widest - sashimi, a crepe station, a laksa/noodles section, a meat station with beef rump and cochinillo, dessert, seafood, and Indian food. But I'd say that focus on a few dishes paid off as every single thing was tasty!
The lobster tails were sweet, soft, and succulent. The cochinillo skin was crispy and meat was flavorful. The sashimi was fresh. The desserts were refreshing and sweet.
And the service was impeccable - I ordered a café latte and it arrived at my table in mere minutes, delivered with a smile.
Once food on a plate was done, it didn't take long before I someone cleared it out, which freed up some room at the table.
I particularly liked the mutton and the lobster tail. Oh, and the cheese with honey.
And the best part is that it's owned by SM, and they offer 30% off if you...
