I have dined here for the 5th time, and they haven't failed to impress me every time. It was a great place with great food.
On March 7, 2022, we had our dinner here at Vikings in the Mall of Asia branch. It was already alert level 1, so they weren't that strict about the age of diners. However, the diners should be fully vacinated. At that time, there were six of us, five adults and one 14-year-old. We were all fully vacinated, hence we were able to dine here.
FOOD: They have many varieties of food here. They divided the restaurant into different areas; there are an appetizer section, a seafood section, Asian sections, a bread section, a meat section, a shabu-shabu section, a beverage bar, and, of course, a dessert section.
FOOD: All the food was delicious and exceptional, starting from the appetizers up until the soup. My favorites are the steak and shrimp, especially the steak when it is well done (you could request whether it is rare or well done, but as a typical Filipino, I prefer a well-done steak)
PLACE: The place has a good atmosphere and ambiance, making it a great place to hold and celebrate important events.
PRICE: I know it's pricey, but it's worth it! If you have a companion who's a birthday celebrant within that month or day, then you would be able to be discounted. Also, if I remember correctly, the price rates for dinner time were more costly than lunch time.
RESERVATION: If I were you, I would have a reservation the day before you plan to dine here. If you walked-in, there's a huge possibility that you will have to wait for at least 2 hours, so MAKE A RESERVATION.
HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION: You could call their contact number (the number is posted in their website) then simply say "I would like to make a reservation for (your name) for tomorrow during lunch time" then your done. When you arrive in the Vikings they would ask you if you have a reservation.
They also have Parking Spaces for bikes, cars, and motors.

Read moreSince we were celebrating that time we went to Vikings, we already made reservations more than a week prior. And a few days before the actual date, we again called to change the table since we needed a bigger table now than originally planned. It was confirmed by them over a phone call. When we were showed our table, what was reserved was still the small round table for 6. A group of 9 can't fit on that table! We had to wait while they found a way, and gave us a table inside the room where it looked like a cafeteria, tables are arranged in a row, chairs almost touching each other. It's cramped and obviously not the best seat in the house! The advance reservation and coordination was a waste! I had to demand to give us better seating arrangement since clearly, it was their inefficiency at work. I had to be the one to micromanage them and found us a table yourselves (which they said we could use). It may have been a good location inside the dining area in terms of foot traffic (not too busy), but it was not cool on that particular spot (later I realized, maybe that's why it was available for us to use because they will only use that table if other tables are already full).
THEN, found this CREEPY CRAWLY in the butter garlic spinach. Informed the staff and they apologized (supervisor came) and claimed that they already took out the entire tray of the same food. Then we were offered a buttered shrimp as compensation "para bumalik Ang appetite nyo po"(apparently that was off-menu).Why would you offer us food when we paid for a buffet?!! But, we don't want to make a big deal so we just said just do what they deemed necessary. The birthday cake for our celebrant was upgraded, instead of the small square cake usually from the buffet and just, spruced up, we for a small round cake, which we appreciated. Also, for the entire duration after that, the supervisor was attending our group, and that was a...
Read moreThe place is already infamous among many buffet restaurants in the country so that's a great edge for them to be chosen for a family or even corporate Friday eat out.
And comparing it to several other buffet resto in the MoA area, it really offers one of the most diverse, fulfilling and longest menu options one can think of.
The place is big enough so waiting outside for your turn doesn't take long, though making reservations is a must if your family or group is planning to dine on a Friday or in the weekend. The place also has available parking outside.
Their main food stations are divided into: ✔️Japanese, ✔️Chinese, ✔️Korean, ✔️NY Subway style, ✔️Italian, ✔️Filipino cuisines. Though I dare say the Filipino dishes side really are the show stealers with their roasted chicken, pork and beef that are tasty to the bone. For the regimen concious don't worry as you can also enjoy their salads, veggies and fruits station. And boy are their desserts station bustling with sweet treats - it sure can satisfy every one's cravings! 🍰🍫
They also have a station for all drinks and beverages. They serve milk tea as well, and have a pump for SMB and a chiller filled with several brands of beer - and they made sure it's high enough for children not to reach for them. Bottomless indeed!
The tables and chairs are properly groomed and the entire place is well air-conditioned. The plates are clean, while silver wares - oh they're damn heavy! Like I do know that buffet resto's do intend them to weigh more than usual but boy is this spoon able to hammer a nail through wood. They're so heavy a child may be uncomfortable using them. But please, don't make these "gym-grade" silver wares stop you from enjoying their delightful servings. Lol
All in all, VIKINGS - for me - has lived up to the legend that it truly is a place to visit to experience good (and free-flowing) food with people close to your heart...
