Royal Kitchen Seafood Restaurant is a great spot if you're into fresh, pick-your-own seafood with lots of flavorful cooking options. The process is fun and a bit like going to a seafood market—first, you choose your seafood from the display (live or fresh), then pick how you'd like each item to be cooked from a menu of styles.
We tried quite a few dishes, and overall it was a delicious and satisfying experience. The salted egg crab was a standout—the salted egg wasn't just some powdery coating; it had real salted egg yolk flavor and texture, rich and savory. The tempura was surprisingly good too—super crunchy and tasty, not greasy at all. We also had the sweet and sour fish with green mango, which was a pleasant surprise. The green mango gave it a nice tang that cut through the sweetness perfectly.
The garlic butter scallops were okay, though not as buttery as we expected, and the scallop meat was on the smaller side. Their fried rice was a solid choice that paired well with everything. The fried chicken was crispy and satisfying, and the adobong pusit had a deep, savory flavor.
Service was quick, and the staff was helpful in explaining the cooking options. Prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Definitely a place worth checking out if you're in the mood for a seafood feast...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to dine at Royal Kitchen in the Dampa along Macapagal and was pleasantly surprised by the fresh seafood selection. While the sizes of some of the seafood offerings were a bit small, I recommend choosing the fresh seafood from the wet market next door for a more satisfying meal.
One standout dish at Royal Kitchen was the tempura, which was cooked to perfection and had a delightful crunch with each bite. The cheese oysters were also a highlight, with the creamy cheese providing a lovely contrast to the brininess of the oysters.
The service at Royal Kitchen was excellent, with the waitstaff being attentive and helpful throughout the meal. However, I did notice that the prices listed on the menu were not up to date, so be sure to double check before ordering.
Overall, Royal Kitchen is a solid choice for seafood lovers, with a wide selection of fresh options and well-prepared dishes. Just be sure to keep an eye on the prices and consider handpicking the seafood from the wet...
Read moreThis is by far my favourite restaurant at the dampa compound at Macapagal in Pasay. You can buy live seafood from the market outside and bring it to them for cooking but you'll need to specify that it's for Royal kitchen as the vendors know that Royal kitchen is quite particular about the quality of the life seafood that their clients bring over for cooking.
Or... You can just order from them and they'll take care of getting the live seafood for you so all you have to do is sit down and wait for your food. Cooking style is Chinese and some of the more popular dishes are seafood in garlic, in salted egg, with tausi or cooked with chili peppers.
They do have private rooms and there's a second floor as the ground floor can get packed. They do have pork, chicken and beef dishes as well as vegetables in the menu. Their key staff can say the names of their dishes in Chinese. There are toilets on both the ground and...
