When we placed our order, the staff's energy and accomodation were admirable to me.

Food and ambiance are both good 👍

Our food was served one by one, so we consumed the others before the next one came.

After we enjoyed our food, we followed up with our cocktail to be served, but unfortunately, the staff didn't order it to their bartender.

The staff inquired if we were still willing to wait for the cocktail, and we replied yes. I realized that our cocktail is ready after waiting for minutes, which is why I don't have time to wait for it to be served. I went there to get it for myself. I saw the staff in a small room investigating about some incident that I don’t ask what. They apologized when they saw me getting our drinks.

This review is specifically for their seaside MOA location as I can't comment on the others. We ended up going there on valentines day 100% by coincidence. I was a bit worried it may not be that good because there was only a few other people. I am GLAD we did. I'm not what I would consider a sushi expert but I have had sushi in a few countries and quite a few different states. I can't say for sure if the sushi was absolutely the best or if all the other places here have just been really bad. My wife had a Raman bowl, and we ordered their grilled tenderloin, and fried calamari. I will also add, that on that night, the calamari was the best I have ever had anywhere, I didn't even know calamari could be cooked that way. Either I've had really bad calamari my whole life or this place just rocks... I think it rocks, we will be going back the night before we go back stateside and when we do come back in 9 months, it will be the first restaurant I go to. Keep up the fantastic work. I sincerely hope the chef is getting paid higher than average wages, he could run his own restaurant with the quality of food he put...

The food is always served fresh. However, the service during our recent visit was disappointing. The server assigned to our table, Belle was unwelcoming and clearly in need of training in proper customer service. From the beginning, her attitude was unprofessional. She appeared irritated and uninterested in assisting us, which detracted from the dining experience.

When we placed our order, I requested chicken katsu without rice. Her response was dismissive, stating, “Wala kami nun,” with an irritated expression and tone. She then corrected me by saying “Chicken cutlet!” in a condescending manner. As a regular guest at Watami, I am fully aware that the restaurant does not serve chicken cutlet only like Chicken Teriyaki.

This encounter was both disappointing and unnecessary. Such behavior diminishes the dining experience and leaves a negative impression, despite the quality...
