Fred's Revolucion Cubao X — Restaurant in Quezon City

Always enjoyed this place and I very rarely leave 1-star reviews but today I am making the effort. We got kicked out of this place because we are missing two friends (who are still on the way) to sit in a table of 6. Nakaupo na kami ready to order.

This is what happens when the focus of the staff is to make money - they base it off the number of people who will sit on the table. We are three in a table for six, with two of our friends along the way. Mind you, I also own a restaurant and though I would try my best not to make this about my personal experience in the service industry, I can’t help.

What’s weird is this guy is assuming agad na we are lying and our friends are not on the way. Mind you, hindi packed yung bar nagpapaalis pa ng tao. Even the other tables told him na mali yung ginagawa niya. He should not be in the service industry.

Have you ever just walked around Cubao, seen a young person wearing numerous layers of black baggy clothing, and asked yourself, “How are they wearing this in our climate?” They’re most likely headed on to Fred’s. This is the place to be if you want a cool beer for a decent price, along with some ‘pulutan’ thats just right. If you’ve ever decided to eat at Fred’s, they have some pretty alright food too if you want to dwell on their meaty dishes. Fred’s darling is not just the cool vibe it possesses, I’d like to say their cocktails (The Minx) and craft beers are where it’s at. For those who don’t drink alcohol, they make a mean Shirley Temple too. We came here due to the high rating and unfortunately we have to highly disagree with it. The service is atrocious, the waiter that served us was more interested in the girls on the table next to us to the point he forgot to process THREE of our orders. Not to mention half the items on the cocktail menu are "unavailable". For food, we ordered the pork strips which was supposed to "be better than bacon". It was a very small serving for the price and tasted like bacon strips covered in chilli powder then put in the micro-wave (far from crispy) and needed a lot more salt/flavour. Even when we decided to leave this place we had to ask for the bill THREE times before it was finally given to us (with 3 different waiters). However the only thing positive to say about this place is that their beer is served cold (which is a rarity in the Philippines)...
